This thing should be included in all full face helmets, in my opinion, but they usually are not, as was the case with my HJC FG-17. I ride a naked/standard motorcycle and without wind protection/management on the bike, a lot of turbulence does wash up past my chin into the breathbox. Specks of dust or dirt, and even small bugs were able to get in which is a distraction at best, and dangerous at worst. It is a small price to pay to get one of these to keep air and debris from blowing up in your face. They are not meant to insulate heat. They are made of mesh material so you can breath. They are pressed into the seams like other components in a lot of helmets. First off, I've seen a lot of reviews stating the chin curtain does not stay in robustly. My guess is that those users did not fully install it. On my FG-17 size large, it took a whole lot of effort to get the tabs to fully inset between the shell and EPS. Now that's in, it feels very sturdy, and I've taken the helmet on and off (and used it on highway and side streets) with no detectable shift or loosening. So overall it was difficult to install - though not complicated, but retains very well.
It's spread pretty tight across the opening, so is a little uncomfortable when putting the helmet on/off, and rubs over part of my face. But once the helmet is on, can't feel it.
While riding, it provides a small reduction in air circulation into the helmet. I don't think it will really reduce wind noise, but will provide a slight increase in warmth due to slower air flow on the face. It's a pretty thin mesh; if you're looking to maximize your helmet warmth, I'd suggest adding your own layer of a less breathable material (velcro, a few stitches, glue?). I thought this was a "solid" curtian, not a mesh one, but as I live in the desert it worked out. It stays in place, and helps keep out all manner of flying things. Cuts down a little on wind noise. Cuts down a bit on cold air rushing past your nose and mouth. I used to get cold in this helmet at about 55f and with the chin curtain its comfortable to about 40ish. Its just mesh so it doesn't really stop the exchange of air, it just stops wind from blowing into your mouthbox.
The installation wasn't too hard but it doesn't fit very securely. If you're not careful taking the helmet off you can pop the chin curtain out easily. I find myself worrying sometimes that i've popped it out a little bit just using it while riding, and that it might fall onto the roadway at speed, I'll probably glue it into place It doesn't block out all the wind, but it definitely cuts back on it. I live in Southern California, and this helps on chilling morning rides to work. In the afternoon, when it's warmed up to the mid-80s, there's still enough airflow to keep me comfortable. It also keeps bugs out of my helmet, which is awesome. I kinda wish it would block a little more wind, but it's sufficient.

This helmet chin curtain performed well and I'm still getting some use out of it...however...it has torn at a seam where the plastic helmet insert connects to the chin curtain part. Since it's already coming apart I don't expect this to last even a year. The Chin Curtain is decent. It does what it's supposed to do: Keep out bugs and debris. I think it also reduces the wind by just a bit, but it's mesh so it still flows a lot of air. Don't expect this to reduce a lot of wind noise. (The FG-17 is fairly noisy anyways.) Still, $10 feels like a lot for what it is and the amount of materials. Other than that, I think it's pretty good. Keeps crap from flying up into your helmet on the highway. Makes for a quieter ride too. Don't know why I waited so long to get one. I have another, identical helmet and will be ordering another one.
Installed on 2014 Street Glide. Easy to install. Solid build, made of metal, not plastic. Does what it's supposed to. I bought this hoping it would help helmet buffeting and it did not. Seems to cut down some wind on legs. Price was fine and if I had bought the expensive kuryakyn version I would be annoyed for this price I’ll just leave it on the bike Aesthetically, this product looks great. Functionally, it makes zero difference. I installed On my 2019 Streetglide. I noticed Zero difference with buffeting with stock windshield works Worked great. Keeps air from coming up from fender and hitting you in the face

I bought this helmet as a warm weather substitute for my 3/4 with full visor. I wanted more breeze on my face during warms months. Overall, the quality is good and I love the look. It's got a touch of "murica" without looking trashy. I've had the liner out and wash it with no problems. The for integrity held well. And it popped right back in easily. The top vent allows more air in than my other helmet, which is great for someone like me who keeps hair short -- a good amount of cooling breeze circulates.
In bright sunlight, your view through the visor will likely look a little milky. So definitely be aware and take extra caution when driving into the sun. I haven't had this issue with any other helmet. There are other replacement visors available through LS2 and I may consider purchasing the one that is a shade lighter. But I don't feel that impaired vision should be a quality of any helmet visor, especially in bright sunlight. Overall, I do recommend purchasing the helmet as the look, quality, and function are all great. Very nice helmet very quick deliveryx Everything has described, I am very satisfied with this item and how fast it arrived. Couldn't get more of a mushroom head if I was in Mario World. It's got an inch and half of foam padding on the inside that covers your whole head for safety. And while I do feel safe but it is a bit much. The visor is very fighter pilot looking. Construction and materials are all 5 stars (except that I can't get one of the buttons on the ear flaps to snap).
Appearance though... that's minus two stars at least. I look ridiculous and it's a small! I could easily to go a medium but I wanted the smallest sized helmet possible. So it's just okay. I'll have to give a try before I decide whether I keep it or not. But it's not looking good... literally. This is the BEST helmet of any helmets, I ever owned myself. I LOVE IT. Don't waist time with any other helmets, this is the one. Well it all depends what you need it for, but this one looks so well made. Size is correct, according to what I placed order for. Helmet arrived before scheduled time. Well packed in box and a beautiful bag for later storage. I love the sun shade and how it clicks in, when not in use. I would recommend this helmet to anyone looking for helmet. It's a great product.

Long overdue replacement for my last helmet. This thing is way more comfortable. I have a large and long oval head, and this thing fits perfect. Great field of vision. Chin skirt prevents bees inside the helmet while riding. The venting is nice, far superior to my last helmet. Only real down side is its a little noisy. Not a huge deal since I wear ear plugs, but it's worth one star off. As with most all Bell helmets the finish and function are good. It’s light enough that I don’t get neck fatigue and the quick change shield is nice BUT... this helmet was supposed to be prepped for a SENA Bluetooth system and just like other reviews it did not come prepped for any Bluetooth kit. The description is absolutely false. It also doesn’t come with the photochromatic shield that changes with the the sunlight. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF THINKING ME OR SEVERAL OTHERS GETTING THE WRONG HELMET WAS A FLUKE OR MIX UP IN ORDERING. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE DLX helmet with Bluetooth ready provision. Nice helmet!! It’s a nice Helmet but it’s not the one advertised on the picture, it doesn’t bring the Bluetooth compartment, so if your buying this helmet for that purpose don’t buy it. It’s disappointing to buy something advertised and they send you the wrong stuff, very displeased. 👎 Mine did not have a built in comm port as described. I liked it enough to keep it. However, if I decide to get a headset it will now have to be taped to the side of it. Not cool when I expected one that would accommodate a headset.

I used this for the first time this morning. I hadn't cleaned the inside of my visor all season and it had that buildup of film like the inside of your cars windshield gets. This spray took care of it in just a couple wipes. To my surprise the included towel is very absorbent. For the price I feel this stuff is very hard to beat. This is the handiest thing in my tank bag. If I had to choose between this and a camera, it would be this. I'm shocked at how quickly and completely it takes bugs off my visor and helmet. No need to wait to get home, much less take my helmet off. I just spray it on, wait maybe five seconds (at the most) and wipe everything off my shield. Then I'm back on my way. No need to use the squeegee at the gas station or paper towels or anything else. Nothing smears, nor is there leftover residue. Nothing interferes with my vision when I'm done with it. I wish I would have found this stuff years ago. It's easily the most beneficial few dollars I've ever spent on motorcycling. You won't be disappointed. Other reviews had stated that this item didn't last very long and started to crack near where the bolts hold it in. So far, i have had it on my motorcycle for 3 weeks and have been on a 450 mile round trip to the Tail of the dragon, and have no issues with the windshield AT ALL!!! I put the shield to the test as we were at highway speeds, city driving, and mountain switchbacks. It went through temp changes of 90 degree plus during the day to cool upper 50's at night and (so far) still holding up great!!
This windshield, along with my new Polk Audio speakers have made my motorcycle SO MUCH MORE of an enjoyable ride. I can now hear my radio with out wind noise. Great product...highly recommend!!! 1st, this absolutely does fit on my 2018 Vulcan Voyager! I'm 6'2" and the 13" is perfect, I finally get perfect airflow around my helmet, nothing below my helmet. I also have a nice clear view, which is great when it rains. The original factory is 18" which completely blocks all air and makes it hard to see when it rains real hard, but it's just too hot in Texas right now. This one is also thicker than the factory. Learned the hard way, when putting the bolts back in do so very gently, the bushings that hold the nut inside can push through and fall inside if you push the bolts in too hard. Highly recommend!!! Purchased as a gift for family, it arrived when it was supposed to and was packaged fine. Installed in minutes w/zero issues. This is thicker than stock and feels better. This height is perfect, no more looking through the plastic vs just over it. Finding the right size of a replacement or secondary shield is a crap shoot, I nailed it on this one. Perfect size, I'm 6'2 and gives just the right amount of air for summer riding, plus the fact that this shield is at least twice as thick as the OEM, there is no movement or buffeting from the part. Great price, super product and arrived ahead of time. I am very pleased with this purchase and may consider another down the road. Love Slipstreamer quality! Replaced a really tall windshield that was on bike when I bought it. Just right for me 5'10. Much thicker than the one it replaced and get just enough air flow with no buffeting.

Very easy to install the windshield. Plus the directions they give are really helpful if you’re not sure how to put it on. You can also go online to getklocked.com for further instruction. ...So, I just received my shipment of the Klock Werks 6.5 inch shield today, installed it, then took it for a short test run on my 2017 HD Street Glide. I chose this size after going online to the Klock Werks YouTube videos to see their Recommended measurement test to know what would be the best size for me. I highly recommend you measure before buying. My Short test ride just going down the street turned into a 50 miles taking backroads and highways. I found that when I closed my front air vent on the fairing, I felt a little air swirl around my face area. Nothing big. However, when the vent was open I barely felt any wind, and I might have gone passed 65 on the highway to test that out. Not sure why that happened, so I have some more test rides to do. Overall, the ride for me was so much better than when I was riding with my stock windshield. And did not experience and bobble head for this 6’3 guy. I know I have more riding to really test it out, but so far I really love the difference. Hope this helps. total crap product. talked with the owner to confirm these are hand bent. one side bent over an inch lower than the other. stick with the windsplitter, you'll be way happier at the same price point. klockwerks has a real good idea here but not enough money to execute a high quality final product. my last gripe is with the edge of this product appears raw, rough & unfinished compared to windsplitter. just a little ticked to have wasted my time with this windshield--hope this helps some of you not waster your time. Fantastic for me and I’m 5’11” on a stock 2017 street glide special. I wanted the shorter one, but glad I got this one as I think it wouldnt work very well. I like the turn signal block off plates but I really don't think they are worth 120.00. I think the bolts should have been a little bigger but I can work with it. NRC can do way better with the material and quality. The screws are too small and can’t hold the fairing and the lights on the bracket properly. Be careful with the wires as they will break from where they join light and you have to solder them on. I use silicone where the wires joined the light before installing.
The screws won’t work as they are flimsy. Need bigger screws to help hold the headlight fairing. Had to bought those. It does the job but honestly this is a $20 kit, materials and hardware are very cheap. Too bad nothing else it out there unless you go custom. Great product. Makes the look of the bike so much sleeker. Easy to install. Bright leds the fastener heads stripped out during the install. the wire from the light to the clip is too long to hide between the fairing and the strut. the pazoma units may look a little clunkier, just a little, but they installed much easier (less wire). Go with the pazoma units.

Ordered with tinted lines didnt not get that an the small size fits like a child's helmet not a adult small size. An the helmet is like twice the size as a average helmet. I'm 220 an 6'2" an it shouldn't look like a put a huge bubble head on Great product. Looks better than picture! Very good packaging for shipment. Sizing chart from Scorpion very useful and accurate. Little harder helmet to get on and off but once on fits comfortably. Good fit good quality

I mostly like how these look. Without a doubt, the coolest helmet on the market, in my opinion, but only if you keep the chin guard on. Otherwise, the half helm makes you look like Marvin the Martian. The entrance of the helmet is pretty damn tight, too. So if you're planning to wear any earphones, get ready for a world of pain. Around 50mph+, the wind noise inside the helmet is deafening, so earplugs are a must if you plan on being able to hear your grandkids ask you dumb questions. These gripes sound pretty damning. But I still really the noisy bucket because it look really cool, ECE rated helmet and chinbar, and comes with tinted and clear visors. All around pretty good. Took this helmet out yesterday for its maiden voyage and I was pleasantly surprised because it exceeded my expectations. The lid is lightweight and comfortable, although noisier than a regular fullfaced but I rode more often with a open face, so it’s no biggie for me. It offers a wide view and the visor comes down or goes up with just one hand and snaps in place. The chin bar is a hard plastic ( vs the soft rubbery one on a Scorpion), so I cannot imagine it provides much protection in a crash. The only negative point is, it doesn’t have a rear vent so it gets toasty. It only has vents in the front which allows plenty of fresh air to enter around the face. As far as the style, I got many compliments on its fierce look. Hi Girls & Guys I have been riding bike since 1970. This is my favorite Full Face helmet I've owned. I have a 23.5" size head and I ordered Large. Now, it fits tight going over the ears but once it was on I knew it was the correct fit. To switch face shields is very simple...just look at the directions. There might be a little lift at higher speeds(I was at 115mph) but what helmet doesn't. I gave it 5 stars but I have one complaint. The chin strap ratchet should be a little longer for easier access. BTW..I've been riding 51+ years and plan on riding till...you know...the end. BE safe out there and enjoy the roads. Peace

**UPDATE** 10/29 - finally got it installed. I didnt cut any wires, so I used the HD harness and plugged the wires directly into the harness. Works REALLY well. Definitely a nice upgrade if you dont like the super long brake light, or are looking to ditch the turn signals. Light is VERY bright. Im impressed compared to the stock HD light. Its a lot shorter too. The integrated turn signals are nice too, and dont affect the fronts at all. Check out my video. Instructions are pretty basic, I did a little trial and error to find the right wires to what - but after i DID find my manual had a good option for tracking down which wire is which. I included both the wiring diagram, AND the wires I used on my 08 sportster.
great little light. Five wires to install and 2 screws. Great workmanship. Checked the brightness and it's very bright. Should work very well. I don't have a licence plate above my tail so I clipped the leads to the LEDs pointing up (they didn't come that way). Very thin, about 1/2 the thickness of the stock light. Great tail light!! This review is for the newer version that is shipping with the darker lens. The tail light looks and functions great!! The smoked lens is dark and really cleans up my Sportster's rear fender. The integrated turn signals are bright and work well. The quality is really good. You can't bet the value this tail light offers. I highly recommend. Please see the attached pictures and the video of the operation. Oh wow, by far the best looking low profile smoking hot bright thing of them all. And not that expensive. I would pay few more buck to have with connector, those connector are hard to find with the pins. I did have to put in pieces the original connector and weld the wires to it. (kind of rigging it)
The wiring is easy. It come with a good thick foam to waterproof the thing but I kind of have dought that would be sufficient to prevent water infiltration and mess up the thing with all the welds exposed at the back, down to the bottom. I did add some gorilla tape ;-) to prevent infiltration from the big opening of the original fixture to prevent water to infiltrate the thing. I'm concerned if water find it way there or condensation, there's no way out. I'll see if it's an issue, I ride rain or shine than I will know and pass on the info.
See the pic, it worth a thousand words, the final look priceless, Love-it The tail light arrived quickly and was what I expected. It’s bright, low profile, and looks great on my 99 Sportster XL1200C. I love the LED color of the license plate lighting. It’s the style I was looking for to match my smoked turn signal lenses. I used the stock, silver ring and fit this inside. I didn’t connect the turn signal wiring as I didn’t need additional turn signaling. Maybe someday if I’m inspired to open it up I’ll do that.
The downside. As mentioned in other reviews it doesn’t quite fit correctly in the stock silver ring. There are gaps because t wasn’t molded exactly. To correct this I used a razor knife and scraped/shaved some high spots on the side of the light so, with some “persuasion”, it sits perfectly and snuggly in the ring. It’s gorgeous now!
I gave it 4 stars because it requires some effort to fit properly and correctly. Overall I’m happy with this tail light and I recommend it! I wasn’t sure what to buy for my 02 Sportster but man this thing is cool took 10 min to install and was shipped quick

Fit and worked good really like the integrated turn signals. It is much brighter than stock even with the smoked lens. This in not plug and play so if you not experienced with a soldering iron you may want to pass. I also had an issue with the original the vendor was very responsive and resolved my issue timely via email. I figured that I would give this taillight a try, since it wasn't that expensive. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works and how easy it was to install. I usually upgrade to LED lighting on all my bikes, and this is a good LED light for the cost. My only negative comment is that the housing itself doesn fit quite as well as stock where it meets up to the bracket. There is a very slight curve, and this light is flat. However, if you tightend the screws and use the included foam, it seals up fairly well. I'm in love with my new taillight. It's so much brighter than my old one and I love having the turn signals in with it. I've always wanted one myself, when I saw it on others...FINALLY I have my own and very happy with it. It was very easy to install as well, with great instructions & manual....even a blonde can do it (no disrespect to blondes, because I am a blonde myself). If you're in the market for a great taillight....get this one. Can't go wrong with this one. Light plastic is thick and good quality. Fit is perfect on my 2009 dyna. Plugged in correctly. I did not use the signal option, only the taillight and brake light. I was kind of expecting a super bright led but this one is better than the incandescent. Worth the price. Looks much better than the stock Harley FXST tail light, installation was very easy but it is not plug and play I had to cut and remove my stock harness and solder it onto this lights wiring but that easy as pie. It is a very bright LED light even for having such a dark tint on it. It also came with a new piece of weather stripping/foam which was nice and i also added a gorilla tape to the back of the board just to help with little more weather proofing but all and all this is a must have upgrade!!!

On September 29th 2019 I was going about 45mph on a paved backroad. A deer ran right out in front of me, no time to swerve or react other than grabbing the front brake and locking it up, when I did it threw me down on my right side smashing my head on the pavement. I hit so hard it broke my eyeglasses I was wearing inside the helmet. The visor and chin saved the front of my face, scratches all down the front of the helmet. I was bruised, deep bone bruise on both hips, but my riding coat and boats helped me. I walked away without a concussion or any kind of headache, in the days that followed it was hard to walk but I never had any kind of headache. This helmet saved my life, I can't even think of buying another brand. That's why I'm buying another one. Safe riding!

It works , but the pin that goes through the disc/rotor is really small in diameter and looks like anyone can pry it apart and take your bike. I would not trust this lock alone by itself to prevent theft! With that said I would definitely use some other lock and chain for added security! Not as sensitive as I'd like, but still useful. I tested it by sitting on my bike and rocking it off the kickstand. (Something I've seen curious delinquents do to my bike before.) It only triggered after aggressively turning the bars or bumping the lock. It is definitely a good deterrent though. I love it works great, its loud enough for me. Comes with extra batteries and battery holder with Allen wrench to change them and 3 keys. Great buy. I wrote this original review below. The intermittent problem turned into the unit not working. It was past the return date but the company was incredible. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. They sent a replacement even though they "technically" didn't have to. Thank you for covering your product. "This should keep casual thieves away but it isn't nearly as loud as I thought it would be and I have trouble intermittently with the unit. It has happened 3 times where I can't engage the unit without it going off. So instead of a beep when I press the lock to lock it. The siren just goes off. Very frustrating. It is more of a deterrent than anything. Hopefully the thieves will just look for a bike that isn't alarmed?" Though the alarm is not loud, the lock is nice and strong. Bought this for my scooter, and do love using it. The alarm is not very loud, but acts as a deterrent to would be thieves in public. Worth the low price.

I mounted this in my Honda Element to add some storage space along the ceiling for camping. Perfect for storing 2 or 3 jackets, a couple pillows, ect. Don't know how long the plastic hooks will last, but if they break I'll just use metal carabiners. Perfect fit for a burley flatbed trailer. The hooks just barely clear the round aluminum frame. Note that the hooks do leave black marks since it is a tight fit and the finish on the aluminum tubes is pretty delicate. During a road trip through the desert every clip broke and in dangerous fashion some shooting directly down at side windows of unoccupied vehicles from roof rack. I had to spend additional $10 on carabiners that scratched the near nonexistent powdercoating off of my Maxxhaul amazon special roofrack. The clips should be non scratching metal of some sort instead of the most britle plastic money can buy. “American tyedowns” If only i would have noticed that BS before, i would have never bought these but it does say 100% satisfaction guaranteed and im gonna hold them to it. smh... I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Seller's have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR The net worked quite well for the first few months, but this morning the temperature was slightly below freezing. The hooks all shattered like glass as I tried to secure them. There was no sign of fading from sun exposure, and they haven't been exposed to any solvents or anything like that. I'll have to buy some metal clips.

So far it is doing its job and we are really happy with it! We have bought both the small and the large sizes of these, for each of our bikes. They are definitely handy, allowing us to pack small initially, and add more items securely if needed. We are keeping an eye onto hooks for durability, so we make sure we don't horse them on super tight (a personal judgement call, I know), but so far they have performed well. Super happy with the convenience. Latest use is daily packing of Tourmaster weather-proof clothing on top off a fully packed tailbag. For ourselves, we can recommend these nets, both the large and the small. I bought this along with my folding shopping cart and am very glad that I did. I usually do a major shopping run once a month at a discount market across town from where I live. I don't own a car so I take a bus to the market. I buy a lot of groceries for the month. Often, though my cart has a large capacity, I find that the bagged groceries exceed the capacity of the basket. To keep my purchases from spilling out on the way home I use this net to hold them in. I store the net in a cloth shopping bag (my city eliminated plastic bags several years ago) and do have to untangle it each time I use it. Still, the minute or two spent untangling the net is a small price to pay for getting all my groceries home safely. I consider this cargo net a great investment. Well I chose this product because it was orange and matched my RZR SxS. I took this to hold down my tools and cooler on the rear of the vehicle. It went on a 3 day 300 plus mile trip through the national forest. At the end, almost all of the hooks broke. I have 2 left in tact. I just use the net for now with heavy duty metal hook/clamps I found to work better. The net I wish was thicker. It did hold up through LOTS of pounding, mud, water etc etc. So the net is good. But the clamps did not work for me. Yes, I was very hard on it, so it might be fine for everyday usage.
