Great bull bar for the price, installed in about 1.5 hours on a 2015 Tacoma 4x4... if you have the right tools, You may need a good breaker bar (and some WD 40 depending on how old your truck is), and deep sockets to loosen/tighten the 4 frame bolts that the mounting brackets attach to (two each side), and a torque wrench. Follow the instructions closely and just "snugly" tighten all the bolts until the bar is in the correct position or it won't line up right. Somehow Amazon got this giant box to Hawaii with crazy cheap shipping, gotta love PRIME!
Looks good. Pretty easy to install. Pre-Drill for 2 light mounts.
Bottom "Westin" plate pretty light-weight metal, bordering on flimsy.
Tubing is very thin walled-- great for weight and lowers cost, but not very functional as a "guard".
Only 2 week in lady ran a stop sign and crumpled this thing like a cheap suit.
If you want more protection, pay more and get sturdier metal. The thin walls won't stop much more than a stiff breeze.
If you want it for looks only and a place to hang a couple of lights, this works fine.
Looks nice, it'll do it's job but don't hit anything with it. It's really thin (sheetmetal thin) so it'll only protect against brush which is the reason I need it and a place to mount my light bar. For the price, it's a good product. I may have to weld it because only four bolts hold it in place (two on each side to the adapter plates.) But no welding or drilling was needed and it's not wobbly or flimsy, it stays rock solid in place.
