This visor fixed a major problem I was having with wind blast and head buffeting at highway speeds. I bought a Puig windscreen for my 2019 BMW F 750 GS but it wasn’t working for me (I’m 6’ tall and have the lower suspension model). Before I returned it I thought I’d try this Puig visor. I’m really glad I did because it made all the difference. Somehow it disrupted the wind turbulence behind the windscreen and made it flow smoothly over my helmet. I have it in the lowest position and can see over it just fine. My only gripe is the price for this thing - seems ridiculously high for such a small part but it is high quality and it’s performed flawlessly for over 500 miles now. 5 stars for the performance minus 1 star for the price.
I bought this product for my brother to use on his motorcycle. He has two motorcycles and had bought this same piece of equipment for one of his bikes and liked it so he wanted one for his other bike. I bought this for him but after installing it he found that the plastic was so distorted that it was a hazard to use on the bike and I returned it. Fearing it was an entire batch of plastic that was distorted we did not reorder.
I initially purchased the taller Puig touring windshield available for my BMW F800GT because I was hoping to get the wind off my wife's face when two-up riding. Unfortunately the taller windshield alone put the wind right in my face, I was unable to keep my helmet visor up when riding over 30 mph. I purchased this windshield visor to solve that issue and it did, without question. My wife and I went for a ride yesterday after installing the visor and we were both very pleased. No more wind in anyone's face which was particularly beneficial since it was a chilly day. Good product, works exceptionally well if your goal is to move the wind over your head., and, doesn't take away from the looks of the bike. I'm 6'0"...I notice the wind now clears my helmet by a couple of inches and windshield is very stable at higher speeds.
This turned my head-buffeting Tiger 800XC into the cone of silence. What a difference. Positioned the windscreen and tightened it down as per instructions, checked it once again after 200 miles. Done. Super simple.
PS The seller really needs to upload a better photo of the product... What's with the image of floating brackets and no windscreen???
I was in a bit of a quandary selecting the right number of stars for this item. First of all, it works absolutely perfectly and I'm amazed how this little piece of plastic makes such a difference in my riding experience in terms of keeping the wind off my face. So 5 stars for that. My conflict concerns the price. Over $100 for a little 4"x10" piece of plexiglass and two little metal brackets? Seems a bit high -- my whole windscreen didn't cost that much. On the other hand, I knew beforehand what the price was and what I was getting for it, so 5 stars it is.
