I had a wind screen but needed to add lowers to my bike to combat helmet buffeting. These mounting brackets are easy to mount, fit very well and are a nice chrome Finnish. You will still need to add the Memphis Shades, lower Acrylic wind deflectors to these mounting brackets. This weekends ride was smooth and no more helmet buffeting.
The mounting brackets for the Memphis Shades plastic (Acrylic) lowers looks to be of good quality. They fit the bike well and were very easy and quick to install. The instructions focused more on legal disclaimers and warnings though. The instructions were of little to no help and seemed to be generated by someone who knew nothing about the product and also could not draw. I only mention this because instructions seem to be important to many people an seems to be a common complaint about Memphis Shades. However, anyone who is mechanically inclined and who is familiar with bikes should have no problem mounting there brackets. A good product. Buy it.
I just got these, opened the package, and tried to install them on my bike. The clamp diameters are way too small for a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic. My bike needs clamps that will accomodate a diameter of 73.5mm. I've contacted the seller with hopes to resolve this issue.
Works well with the lower deflectors, only wished the arms were just a bit longer to easily clear my windshield. Easy install once I decided on best mounting direction. Also, for the price would have liked to see these in a quick release model rather than hex screws.
I took a chance that these would reduce head buffeting on my Vulcan 500 that came free with the memphis fats windshield I ordered. Did absolutely nothing for the buffeting. They seem to small to do much good. However, I did notice they reduce wind over my thighs at high speeds, so they will help to extend the riding season. As for buffeting and rain protection, they do nothing.
I'm gonna leave them on though!

Well ok they work just like they should. Tight and don't slide when the wind blows on them.
As advertised. Pricey, but they fit perfectly and work awesome with the lowers I bought. Memphis Shades knows what they're doing when it comes to wind management.
