Turns out, highway pegs are a damned difficult decision! I looked at a lot of stuff before settling on these. They lock down very securely (just don't over-torque!) and feel very firm under my feet. The big selling point with these is the adjustability, and they are great in that regard - but it does take some patience to set them up exactly the way you want. I did it without any help, just took a while. The other thing to consider is the look, and the fact that they are a bit bulky. For a big cruiser like my Indian, they definitely work - but they definitely do not make the bike smaller. ;) They add about an inch of width to the bike, which is one more inch to worry about when splitting lanes in CA, but hey...it is what it is. Overall though, they really do look good on an Indian Chief, I'm sure they look good on Harley's too. They are definitely built well and I don't expect any issues with floppiness or slippage - they have teeth on the critical joints so they lock down securely under your feet. 4.5 stars. I'd go 5 stars if they were designed such that when folded up they added no width to the bike. The sleeker alternative I was looking at was the Lindby highway pegs, which mount and fold up in such a way that they are positioned behind the highway bar rather than to the side, so they add no width and are very low profile, but...I read way too many reviews that they are overall crap, they strip out the threads easily when mounting which means cheap tin (affirmed by someone on an Indian forum I chatted with), the peg flops down unless over-torqued or modified with washers (that could be dangerous in traffic), and when I contacted Lindby with some questions, they never even bothered to reply, so I said screw it and went for the big pegs! I'm happy.
Kuryakyn is the cheapest steel and poorly machined hardware. The steel footpeg on mine actually cracked and broke in half after I had to torque it again because it came loose! All the cheap hardware comes slathered with a ton of anti sieze lube. I think it's because the machining is so poor they are worried about the fastener threads galling. I wouldn't mind if they charged what this crap is worth. They are charging premium prices for cheap accessories. Like if Harbor Freight tools charged Snap On prices. Dont fall for it.
Installed these on a 2006 Suzuki C90 Boulevard VL1500 on a Cobra 1-1/4" highway bar. No issues. Prior to them being tightened close to your install location, they are kinda floppy and swivel around making them hard to handle. I'm 6'0", and made the mistake of mounting them swiveled out in FRONT of the highway bar thinking I would like it. After a couple rides; I determined that they would be most efficient and comfortable swiveled BEHIND the highway bar back toward my riding position, just outside my front shift lever and brake pedal. It's all good now. The variety of adjustment is fantastic with these things, and they mount up solid as can be. No movement or flex whatsoever. Would highly recommend.
Pegs look great but before you install make sure to get some Loctite RED for the pre-assembled peg bolt. You should disassemble the long bolt that connects the peg itself to the clamp and use some Loctite RED and reassemble. I failed to do this and my left peg disappeared on one of my rides. Customer service was great at Kuryakyn and I ordered a left peg from them ($42.00). The Rep even mentioned the same issue with other riders. They should have it in bold letters in the instructions to do this prior to installing these pegs if it is a known issue
This is the first time I have used highway pegs so was unfamiliar as to how to use them and set them up properly. After I installed them I rode over to a friend who was an experienced rider who was more familiar with them. Took a while to get them setup properly, but they are great. i read some reviews and the problems they mentioned I did not have. Good quality and no problems with parts on installation. Purchased the black gloss as the trim on my Chieftan is black. Looks great overall. One person can install these easily. Was a bit stumped as to why the Amazon fit guide said they would not work on the 2014 Chieftan. I went to the manufactures website and based upon their recommendation they fit perfectly. Would definitely recommend this product.

Took them out of the package but realized they weren't going to work for me before trying to put them on. Had the chrome version of these on my Victory Cross Country and they were perfect. However, the highway bars on my Indian Chieftain Dark Horse are much closer then the Vic. These pegs are too bulky and too wide for the way I like to use them which is to rest my heel on the floor board and rest the ball of my foot on the pegs. They are a great product but a little overkill for my current bike.
I returned them and got the "Show Chrome Accessories 21-334BK Satin Black 1-1/4" Highway Bar Pegs" instead which are a much better fit for me and my bike. If you get those, be careful when tightening as the metal is very soft and the bolt holes strip out easily (I stripped out two, one hole on each peg). They do not need to be very tight to hold securely, at least not on my bike. They should include a warning or torque specs with that product.
Well built, durable and very adjustable. Takes a little work to get them to exact comfortability, but with a little work, a very nice set of pegs.
Product is excellent quality. This is my second set as my previous bike was also outfitted with the 7555 model. Adjustable in an infinite number of settings, depending on the preferences of the rider. Installation took only a few minutes. Stronly recommend this product.
Good quality, fits as advertised and lots of versatility.
Great product but orderd the wrong size
