over the past several years i have had to replace both upper and lower unit cords on all equipment for both me and the wife's helmets three times. thats is six cords in eight years. I know all products have a self life but I have come to the conclusion that this product and brand is only of a fair qualityand if I had to do over i would try another top ranked brand as I do not feel that this product should have to be replaces anywhere near as frequently as I have experienced.
I like this better than the blue tooth.
