I rarely write reviews but had to on this one as it solved the number one complaint on my Yamaha Tmax 500 which was unbearable buffeting on my helmet at 45 mph or higher (at 70 mph the Tmax was impossible to ride without earplugs). The Puig Clip on Visor #6375W solved the entire issue brilliantly. I am 6'3" with boots on, 200 lbs and the stock Tmax windshield is well made and effective but not for taller riders like myself. Installing the Puig and setting it to its highest position completely eliminated all the buffeting. I was tempted to take off a star for price and the incredible lack of instructions but for $106 and free shipping it did its job and honestly - it was either solve the buffeting or sell the bike, so I'm happy.

Instruction Notes:

Assemble the front mounting clamps to the visor BEFORE you mount the rear clamps to your existing windshield. And go slow and tighten the front mounting screws evenly, careful not to over torque them. Then open up the rear mounting clamp and slip it over your windshield. Center it appropriately being careful to look at the Right/Wrong illustration on the crappy instructions that do come with the Visor. It will show you the proper front to back mounting plate angles you need to duplicate for proper rigidity. Once you've used a tape measure to make sure the visor is centered on the windshield and it's at the proper angle, slowly and carefully tighten the rear mounting clamp screw. Be forewarned, if you over tighten you can crack your windshield,

Once mounted SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY adjust the ratcheting center arms for position. This adjustment process is not intuitive and takes quite a bit of strength. What I did was carefully grab the rear clamp bracket while slowly adjusting up the center arm one little bit at a time making sure that there was no pressure on the visor itself or my windshield. I can easily imagine cracking the visor or windshield at this point if one is not careful. The tallest and lowest Visor position offer the most rigidity as the center arm is pressed back flat against the mounting clamps. For my install the highest position worked best. I've read that guys adjust the ride height on the fly. I cannot imagine that the visor would hold up long term by doing this. It's a plastic ratcheting system and honestly I think the more adjusting you make the weaker it will become and a bracket collapsing and visor flying into my face is not what I'm looking for at 70mph. So for me, this is a set once and forget visor system. Pics of my 2009 TMax install attached. Note: Puig supplies little plastic covers for the cool black anodized aluminum hex screws on the front mounting clamps. These covers immediately found their new home in my garbage. Not only do they make the visor look cheap but they take a lot of force to install, giving you yet another chance to bend/crack your visor.
This works great on my BMW R1250GS Adventure and it makes a world of difference. Even with the GSA's large windscreen, at 6'4" my helmet is still above where it makes a difference. In fact, it is right where the air is most turbulent and buffets above the windscreen, that there is less noise when I stand. But, with the Puig it's perfect. By far the best money I spent on bike mods.
I'm 6'4" and ride a Kawasaki Versus 1000. I replaced the terrible stock windscreen with a large Puig touring screen in hopes to minimize the turbulence. While it helped a lot, I was still getting wind clipping the top of my helmet.

I was tentative buying this as it seems like a lot of money for what you get. But in the end, it fixed my issues and I am happy I purchased it.

It easily slips on and tightens with two screws. Then you just move the visor into your desired position.

Overall it does what it's supposed to and the bracket feels solid and high quality. I definitely recommend for tall riders having a hard time dealing with buffeting.
Have mounted it on the windshield of my motorcycle. One of the hinges lost internal parts as I was changing the angle of deflector to see which angle was the best at reducing the wind turbulence on top of my helmet at 70mph on the interstate. I like the unit except for the amount of care required to prevent damage to the hinges. One side of a hinge just popped off during changing the angle of the deflector and lost the internal parts that allow both ends of the hinge to "ratchet".
It works well on my 2018 Tracer 900, it blocks more wind than the standard windscreen - not 100%, but a lot more than without. The installation was fairly straightforward, although the instructions were pretty minimal. Only complaint was that the allen wrench necessary for the screws was not included. I would also like to add, as another reviewer did, that you cannot and should not adjust it to the different settings while riding - this should be done while stopped.

I had thought about getting a single larger screen, but that's a one way proposition (and twice the cost, at least), so I felt worst case I could simply remove this screen if it didn't suit or work.

Good product.

Description

Puig visor for windshields.

Not Usable--Missing Mounting Hardware. Looked like I got someone else's return and they sent it back out without checking contents. Missing the 15 parts needed to install visor.
Works as expected, god quality from Puig. Was originally concerned that it wouldn't secure as easily as I wanted, but it has performed flawlessly at highway speeds for a couple months. If you are looking for an adjustable deflector and don't want to have to drill into your current windscreen this is a great option.
difficult to install and adjust, returned
This is a great addition to the standard screen for the 1290 Super Adventure.

I'm 6'1 with a 32in inseam and use the saddle lower position.

Screens and additions and settings are notoriously difficult to find a one size fits all solution.

However, the adjustability of this is fantastic. I found it the most effective when screen is set fully up and this is tight to the screen and set vertical (not angled).

Well worth the money. It has taken away all buffeting and 80% of the wind noise.

I could ride at 70mph with my visor up.

Recommended.
