Upon purchasing this lock/alarm, I was seemingly pleased with the simplicity and feel of the product. I placed it, as directed, on my Honda CRF 250 and checked all the features. The motion detection isn't as sensitive as I had thought it would be but I assumed that was intentional so every gust of wind wouldn't set it off. The noise that emits from the alarm when triggered was loud enough to get the point across but I doubt I would hear it from inside the house. I was pleased so far until I went to unlock it for only the second time..and it broke. The drive/lock bar that is the only material keeping the lock secured was broken leaving it just an expensive piece of noise making metal. I am disappointed that with no applied pressure or effort, the very thing meant to keep my bike safe from theft failed at the only point that was designed to be a critical and secure piece. If you want a motion detected sound machine then this might work for you but if you want something that will secure your bike and help protect from theft, I would recommend something else.
The packaging was adequate and everything was in good condition.
The lock itself appears very well made and had no cosmetic blemishes.
I was surprised to find 3 keys that were laser cut. Much better quality than I expected.
A second battery pack was included and I was not expecting that. Very nice!
The storage bag fits nicely and I wasn’t expecting that also. Apparently I didn’t read the description before I order it!
The lock is very easy to use and I had no problems figuring it out.
I will make one comment and that is the instructions seem to be lacking. I did figure out how to operate the lock, but there is no mention to what to do with the cable and how to best use that. The pictures are very small and wasn’t able to see the cable in the picture.
Overall I am very happy with the purchase and the value is good. Other than the instructions I have no other suggested improvements.
Great chunk of steal with a nice loud sound when motion is detected. This is my 2nd one purchased because the first one got lost in a recent motorcycle accident. First one I had was a chrome one and since my new bike is almost completely blacked out I got the black one. Same quality.
My favorite part beyond the core product is that it comes with a case, spare batteries and a tool to take apart if needed to replace the batteries.
I've only used it a few times and it is now stuck on my bike. The button is not staying pressed down and the key will not open it. No idea how I'm going to get it off.
Update: I had to have a locksmith come remove it which the seller reimbursed me for. FYI, the alarm wasn't even going off as he was drilling into it.
5/5 overall, 4/5 on motion detection and water resistance - I think the two are interlinked? When I first used this alarm if I so much as touched the bike the alarm would give me a nice loud reminder it was there. After riding home in a pretty gnarly storm with it under my passenger seat, where it undoubtedly got soaked, a little bit more force to the bike is needed to trigger the warning. Bumping the bike by any means still triggers it and laying a finger on the alarm does as well. It will beep at you as you insert the key to disarm it, letting you know it's still alive and the batteries aren't dead.
I love it so far. And for the price, you can't beat it.

Steps To Use:

Battery Replacement

It works , but the pin that goes through the disc/rotor is really small in diameter and looks like anyone can pry it apart and take your bike. I would not trust this lock alone by itself to prevent theft! With that said I would definitely use some other lock and chain for added security!
Not as sensitive as I'd like, but still useful. I tested it by sitting on my bike and rocking it off the kickstand. (Something I've seen curious delinquents do to my bike before.) It only triggered after aggressively turning the bars or bumping the lock. It is definitely a good deterrent though.
I love it works great, its loud enough for me. Comes with extra batteries and battery holder with Allen wrench to change them and 3 keys. Great buy.
I wrote this original review below. The intermittent problem turned into the unit not working. It was past the return date but the company was incredible. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. They sent a replacement even though they "technically" didn't have to. Thank you for covering your product.
"This should keep casual thieves away but it isn't nearly as loud as I thought it would be and I have trouble intermittently with the unit. It has happened 3 times where I can't engage the unit without it going off. So instead of a beep when I press the lock to lock it. The siren just goes off. Very frustrating. It is more of a deterrent than anything.
Hopefully the thieves will just look for a bike that isn't alarmed?"
Though the alarm is not loud, the lock is nice and strong.
Bought this for my scooter, and do love using it.
The alarm is not very loud, but acts as a deterrent to would be thieves in public.
Worth the low price.
