I’ve been switching parts to black on my 14 FLHXS. Not going full blackout, just toning down the chrome, especially on the front end, and these fit the bill nicely. They were expensive, but feel & look high quality. I would classify the finish as satin. I originally wanted gloss black, but this blends in very well and I’m happy with the look.
The light has a nice glow in running mode. It adds a surprising amount of visibility considering the size. They’re almost hidden when off, but jump to life when on. It’s less rich than amber LED behind the amber lens I had before, but sufficiently warm & doesn’t have the “whitish” appearance I dislike in other bulbs.
When flashing, they’re extremely bright. Great for visibility, but if you’re riding at night, don’t pull over & look directly at them <3’ away or you’ll need to wait for the retina spots to clear before resuming your ride.
Fit was great on my ’14 SGs. There is a narrow slot (just a few mm, ~2” long) on the lower edge towards the driver. I think it’d look better fully flush, but maybe it serves a purpose (heat dissipation?). For the price, I wish they’d included acorn nuts in a matching color (temporarily have to use the original chrome).
Installation was easy. Two bolts & three wire connections on each side. The wires are in conveniently matching colors. You have to use the original plugs, but they include 6 crimp connectors (I think they’re heat shrink, but I soldered). Simple install if you remember to cut the old connectors off on the 3 wire (light) side, not the 4 wire (bike) side and leave yourself enough wire.
Overall, they look and perform very well.
Pros: Good color & visibility of lights, minimalist style, easy install
(Potential) Cons: Finish isn’t gloss, Small slot at back instead of fully flush, need to supply your own acorn nuts & connector plugs (or use originals).

The reason I did not give this a 5 star is the windsheild is 3" to tall for me I use a Sargent lowered seat and I am 5'6". That makes my eye sight right at the top edge of the windsheild and I am constantly looking thru it.
Excellent value, and does just what is says on the tin! On my KLR I can now sit at 70mph rather than 60mph. That means a lot. High quality and uses the original screws and fittings.....fitted in minutes.
Awesome shield! The stuff it’s made of is way better than plexiglass. No streeks stays clear. I’ve had it on my klr for about 3000 miles. Not one bug has hit me yet. I’m 6’ 1” and if I set up straight the wind hits the top of my helmet. Calm and much warmer. On the whoops it too close. Almost got me a few times.
