its hard to put a price on something that get bugs splattered all over it, I just wish it was cheaper, I go through one of these about every 2 years. I ride about 6000 miles a year. you have to be able to see, and it is only a matter of time before you need to replace it. and its not the bugs scratching it, its the bumping it against things when hanging it on the foot peg, or dropping it on the ground,..... I just feel lucky to have found one for my out dated helmet.
Got this to replace a shield on a motorcycle helmet. This fits but it's an odd fit. It requires two hands to move up. Talk about unsafe on a motorcycle. The seller emailed asking for feedback so I gave it. In response, I was sent to installation manual. Not sure I'd recommend this. I mean yes, it does it's job and does fit the helmet however it doesn't move up as easy as it should.
Bought this to replace my old broken shield. Install is easy, works fine as a normal shield. Nothing special about this, but cheap and looks clean.
Got this for an old HJC helmet, since it's so comfortable. Fits, but pops off on one side when I raise the visor because of it's tolerance to the old base plate. A new one may have solved the problem, but I think it's just a matter of shaving down the plastic where the shield has too much pressure against it. The quality of the new visor (thickness, durability) matches or exceeds the old one.
Fits perfect. The local motorcycle shop doesn't stock these older HJC CS12 helmet shields anymore, so was happy to find it available here. Price is fine, and it fit perfectly. I bought the clear shield for winter driving.
