Nice helmet, I've owned HJC before and the quality seems to be there with this one. Problems: you really have to pull it tight to make sure the wind won't pull it off your head. Makes it a little uncomfortable, any thing over 45 will cause this issue. Over 60 and you will be pulling the strap to keep it tight to your head. Wind noise is unbearable. I don't have a faring. This is the first half helmet I've owned so not sure if others are like this. I plan to try ear plugs (using a modular helmet now) but don't really want to have something else to worry about. I might put the removable collar back in to see if that helps but I live in Florida and need the heat to move out quickly. Again, since I've never owned a half helmet I don't know but it either pushes my ears out or I have to tuck them into the helmet. This hurts after a while. Over all, the finish is as expected and the quality is what I expected from HJC. I only plan to use this on short rides as I can see it hurting until I get used to it (which I shouldn't have to do).
the shell on these helmets are the same size. i ordered a small and it was to big,I
decided to keep it for a passenger rider. so i ordered a X small and the shell measured the same diameter around as the small, just thicker padding . its looks funny on me because the shell is so big . I imagine if you bought a large it would look like if fit you ok because it wouldn't have so much padding in it. i didnt have time or patients to return it and shop for another helmet so ill just live with it.I do get the feeling people are looking at me funny when im sitting at the stop lights . Just kidding. i dont know if all helmet are made that way , it would be something to research before buying The X small did fit. anyway ,hope this makes sense
This is my 2nd HJC helmet, my first one was a 3/4 helmet I had years back. This also proved to be a comfortable basic helmet. It seems to be one of the larger 1/2 helmets. There is definitely a break-in period for the foam liner. The first several hours I wore this I was questioning if I should have ordered another size up. Thankfully, it became more comfortable after several rides.
The helmet looks weird on your head, and does not fit the same as others. Obviously they fit differently, but my full face is an hic and fits perfectly. This does not, looks very mushroomed head, and is not comfortable. I was going to return, but having to pay to send back so on the marketplace it goes.
I really like this helmet. The fit is just right and is well made for the price. It would be nice if the vents were adjustable. The zip off collar is a feature seldom seen anymore. Nice helmet this is "old school" at its best. Very comfortable. A half helmet I feel safe in.

I contacted HJC about how to adjust the vents on the CS-2N. They told me the vents do not adjust they stayed open and constantly pass air through them. I like the large vents and the way they are hidden behind the visor, just wish they were adjustable. I do like the helmet, but they need to correct the product description on Amazon.
Love the helmet! So comfortable although I wish I would have bought a 3/4 helmet instead. The skirt around the bottom helps keep it on my head and doesn't feel like it's going to fall off. I may add a face shield for when I ride long distances to fight fatigue though.
This is a nice helmet for the price, fit is true to form and size chart was accurate. I would recommend this product.
