Cool lock, doesn’t fit 1” tubes, it’s about .9” max
To get it to work for my 1" handle bars, I bought longer screws to replace the 3/8"-long 10-32 screws. It worked great with two #10-32 x 3/4" hex-drive socket cap screws from Home Depot.
With the lock right next to the round gauge cluster on the handle bars of my 2019 Honda Rebel 500, I can rest my helmet on top of the gauge cluster (with the instrument cluster sitting kind of inside the helmet) with the D-rings in perfect position for locking.
If you want something to hook your helmet to then this is a perfect choice. While not really being a secure option since the whole thing can be easily removed due the exposed Allen bolts, it may offer a decent deterrent from theft just due to inconvenience of the thief having to work for it.
This did not work on my down tube like I thought it would. However, I was able to place it in between my rear fender and hard bag! Perfect place for it. Works great and I like the fact that it has hex bolts instead of the ones that you are unable to unscrew once you get them on.
Fair-good quality, not going to stop someone with a flat head screwdriver but will prevent the random snatch and grab crook who wants your helmet.

The black finish matched the black handlebars and crash bars of my 2018 Heritage Classic. The units themselves fit perfectly and were both easy to install and use.

Will not recommend to anyone. Go for other helmet lock.
