I recently upgraded from the old SMH10 to the 10S. The old speakers (SMH-A301) are no comparison to these. the audio quality is immediately noticeable. The volume level is acceptable if you activate the audio boost via the Sena app. After I adjusted the sound/equalizer settings on my phone the music sounded very crisp, loud, and clear. Phone conversations are very clear, and the intercom is also greatly improved. If you are on the fence about upgrading your speakers with the 10S, I feel that it was worth the extra cost. This setup compliments the Bell Mag-9 helmet very nicely.
it's an awful experience, to buy something that has mixed reviews. You read the other reviews and you think - that user is must have had a faulty unit, or they just don't know how to tighten a screw. This won't happen to me. and then it does.
The truth is, is should haven't listen to the reviews.
This product is poorly engineered. The main reason being the attempt to tighten this mount (used to mount Sena 10S bluetooth headset to Bell helmets) with a single screw. two screw are used for the normal clamp mount. but in this mount, only one.
This mount suffers from two problems: either during the installation stage you'll find it impossible to align it correctly, meaning the bluetooth unit will pop out of its socket without any warning, simply by wearing your helmet.
if you managed to secure it and it does not longer pop out, you will not hear anything, as the connectors are not touching. There must be a millimeter gap between the unit and the mount, caused by poor engineering and manufacturing and the use of a single screw.
I got this to move my Sena 10S into the built in slot in my Bell Qualifier DLX, needless to say it works great, took me all of 15 minutes to remove the standard mount and install this mount. Recommend if you have a Sena 10S and a Bell Mag-9 or Qualifier helmet.
Bought this mount for a Bell Qualifer DLX helmet, it will mount on the helmet, but it won't hold the
Sena 10s, at least not while it is mounted on the helmet. Had to use the original 10s mount on the exterior
of the helmet. Not in the recess. So save yourself the aggrevation.(DON'T ORDER THIS MOUNT)
This works perfect for the bell mag nine helmet the quality all the way around and the ease of install made it made it such a pleasure to work with and they will quality is extraordinary

Ordered two of these. One was unopened, intact and obviously new. The other had been opened and the components were not neatly packaged. An obvious returned item. If I wasn't so eager to get these installed, I would have returned the open package.
Should've listened to warnings not to buy this. Now I'm stuck with a worthless mod for my SENA insert of my DLX helmet
