Took this bag on a 2,000+ mile trip strapped to the luggage rack of my Harley Freewheeler. Very easy to take off and put back on each day, the firm construction is nice as it holds it shape and the zippers open/close smoothly. The side pockets are very small, only good for a map, receipts, cell phone or something fairly slim. Didn't run into any rain so I can't speak to it's water resistance or how the rain cover works. Really love this bag. The only down side I could find is I wish they would have included a carry strap (there are D-rings on the top so it would have been easy to include). I took a strap off of a bag I already had and was able to retro fit it to this bag. I'd definitely recommend and buy again.
This is a nice sturdy bag with good hold down straps but it does not have a handle on top and it does not come with a shoulder strap. This is the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
Bought this for my new Triumph Speedmaster. Fits fine on the small luggage rack behind the passenger backrest. Just the right size for the bike.

Bag is very well made, mounting system is easy to use and very secure. This will be perfect to carry my lunch and and sweater to work.
Also not sure how the other comment was that the size is 17" as it measures what the description says.
