The way the shield is mounted directly to the handlebar clutters up the look of the bike. It's not the most beautiful assembly I've seen. The Deflector's mounting hardware is steel with some kind of blued finish (not powdercoated). Time will tell how durable it will prove.
Installation is straightforward, except I ended up reversing the handlebar clamps to gain an extra 2" of forward extension on the mounting struts.
The shield itself is functional and reasonably good looking. It's small enough that the extra weight and cross section don't adversely affect steering. Its aerodynamics are extremely pleasant. On me, the Deflector's wind shadow covers my entire torso, my neck and the lower part of my face up to just below my eyes. At freeway speed, the airflow is smooth, with none of the painful head buffeting that can plague riders behind windshields. On my way into work this morning I discovered that I can now ride with my helmet's face shield cracked open for air and not be tearing up from the wind blast. Score! I am 5'8" tall, but the Deflector is adjustable for height and rake angle, so riders shorter or taller than me can adjust it to suit.
Bottom line: Recommended.
Installed on my 2014 Valkyrie as aftermarket parts are hard to come by except for the handful of overpriced options through Honda. This windshield provides the perfect amount of wind deflection for me without feeling like I'm sitting in the cabin of a Lexus which actually defeats the purpose of riding a motorcycle. If you're searching for generic windshield to fit our niche bike, then look no further. Installs quickly with no mods and looks great on bike. Seems to be mounted/secured vey well and I can't imagine needing to spend $300 for OEM when this is available. Happy customer.
I don't give 5 stars out often and this is a very good buy no doubt. That said, it done the job on a road trip of 2000 miles in 4 days without a hitch. I ride a 2014 Custom Deluxe so it looked really small to me on the bike but the other Brothers didn't give me no grief about it. I had a little problem with one side getting a little lose here and there but we were moving along. I can't say anything bad except shipping was slow and the night before the trip I was installing it. But would I recommend it, if you don't want a big windshield and you need one here and there, Hell yea! Go for it, I am cool with this product.
This is great, a windshield from Harley Davidson for my Street 750 costs $320 and the dealership wanted another $160 to install it. This one took me maybe 20 minutes to install it though it would have been less time had I not read every word of the instructions first :)
Well worth the money. I took the bike on I-90 and hit 80. Without the windshield, I felt like I would blow off the bike at any time but with this, I could have been doing 40 for all the effort it took to hold on.
Couldn't be happier with the style, look and functionality of the screen. Very easy to mount and adjust for your needs. Provided noticeable wind deflection up to about 85 mph. Perfect for short to med distance cruising without taking away from the look of your bike.

Easy install. Sure dressed the bike up. Removes some of the wind buffeting.
Aesthetically awesome. Needs wind adjustment still keeps bugs off my face and helmet. Worth it thanks National Cycle.
