Joe Rocket 1326-2305 Classic '92 Men's Leather Motorcycle Jacket (Brown/Cream, X-Large)
: Joe Rocket 1326-2305 Classic '92 Men's Leather Motorcycle Jacket (Brown/Cream, X-Large): Automotive
The jacket is great but I just returned it. I read all the reviews about ordering a size down and they are wrong. I'm 5'8" and 165lbs and after reading the reviews I ordered a small, I can barely get it zippered. The jacket may be ok for walking around but if you really want to ride a motorcycle don't size down.
It's a nice coat for the price. I've probably ridden 500 miles with it now and it hasn't let me down yet. I filled mine full of armor from another coat (shoulders, back and elbows) and it still fits pretty good. It was a pain getting the elbow pads in, but with a little will I found a way.
This coats strongest selling point is definitely the look. It looks great. Why can't there be a larger market for coats like this?
Second strongest selling point is cost. It's cheap for what you're getting, and it does show in the final product. The buttons on the collar are cheap and the zippers are cheap. Overall construction is pretty cheap in fact, but it still has all of the features it claims and it all works. It even came with extra snap buttons for the collar when the originals fail.
Also, having ridden it in both cold and warm weather (40F to 95F,) I'll definitely say it's suited best for riding in the 60s and 70s, and the 50s are fine with the included liner. Keep in mind, I have the armor in mine, so without that, it may run a bit cooler, especially on your back.
Disclaimer to my above statements? If you're touring and riding a lot of highway, I'm sure warmer temps (80s or higher) won't bother you as much, but for around town without some airflow, it can get hot pretty quick (it's leather, after all.)
Jacket arrived today. It's nice, but not what was advertised. Quality leather, but thin! Theres no zip out liner, no pockets for pads, and a little tight despite sending/confirming measurements with seller. If you're a regular at the gym, athletic build, order a size up...not down. I dont like scoring low, but this thing came from Pakistan, so a quick return or exchange is out of the question. It's a motorcycle jacket (minus key elements), and I hate to ride without one for another 2 weeks. It does block the wind, though.
Fake junk jacket. Unbelievable. Do not buy!!!
I just wanted to post some feedback for all of the tall and lanky, skinny folks trudging through the Amazon in search of a tailor fit bike jacket. I am one of you. My measurements are 6 foot 3 inches, 185 pounds, 42 inch chest, 36 inch waist, and 34 inch sleeves. All of the recommendations on this jacket said to order a size smaller than you normally would wear. Even though I usually wear a Large Tall or LT in jackets, I ordered a size Medium and it fits perfectly. My wife says it looks like it was custom tailored for me.
The quality of this jacket is unbelievable. My last jacket was a similar style from Harley Davidson. I think I paid $450 for it on sale in a HD store. It was a different kind of leather; less textured and a little stiffer. Not bad, but different. The Joe Rocket, however, feels much more supple and softer. It is a thick leather, but it's not as heavy as my HD jacket. I like it much more.
There are no vents. There are inside pockets for pads (not included). The collar has a neoprene liner - nice and comfy. Oh, and there is a cool little key pocket on the right sleeve; which I plan on using just because it's there. Maybe even for keys. :)
All of the zippers are smooth, though I still plan on rubbing silicone grease on them. All of the buttons work easily. The leather is supposed to be protected, but I will put some Obenauf's oil on it just incase.
I love the cut. It's very comfortable and slim fitting. If I use the snaps on my waist, I can trim it 2 inches and it now fits my waist exactly. So unbuttoned, it have room for movement. Remember that I did order a size smaller as recommended by most of the reviews here.
So, If you are over 6 foot and can scratch you knees without bending at the waist, don't worry about sleeve length. If you want a tailored fit without looking like a coffee shop hipster, just order a size smaller than what you usually would. Or better yet, check out this jackets sizing chart on Joe Rocket's website. Then you can measure yourself and know for sure.
Hope this review helped you. I wrote this review to help others decide if this was right for them. Ordering jackets online can be a pain in the chaps. I took advantage of Amazon's gracious return policy with three coats before ordering this one. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below and I'll try to help. Overall, I love this jacket. And plan on ordering the lady version for my wife. She wants the brown and cream one in XS.

This review is misleading. Unfortunately amazon should do something about this. I think many of the reviews for this jacket are not for the actual Joe Rocket Classic 92 jacket. What I got was not even close to the real thing. Paper thin leather and no removable liner. The tags weren't even for the correct brand. The lesson I learned was to pay better attention to third party seller feedback. In the end I got a refund but not for shipping.
the '92 looks really cool, feels great, you can see the quality in it. It reminds me of a jacket I had back in the 80's except there's way less break in time. My old one took years to break in and was too heavy for mid summer riding but this JR '92 is way ahead of the game, It's like my clone broke it in for me already and being a little lighter with a zip out liner should be fine for hot summer days.
If you want that old school look just buy it, you won't be disappointed. Sizes seem to run true. Some reviews said they run big so I first ordered a large (I'm a size 44") and although it did fit there's no way I could wear a base layer any thicker than a T shirt. Super easy return and super fast shipping got me a XLG in just a couple days. It fits great and looks great, I got no regrets.
Not Joe Rocket jacket at all. Poor leather (if it's real leather). No elbow protection as described, no zipper liner as described. Plus a wonderfull 20% restocking fee as a gift when you return it. Amazon, please make this supplier out of your list. This really not represents what you are. I will go to a real Joe Rocket authorized distributor to buy a real Motorcycle jacket. Very disapointed about Amazon on this one.
Joe Rocket usually fits a size larger so I would definitely size down. Im usually a Medium 5'9 175lbs 40" chest but Small fits me perfectly once the liner is taken out. I find the thermal liner to be useless tbh i still have enough room to layer a sweater/hoodie underneath and it's still a comfortable fit.
Finally found this style with proper v taper fit. More room in back and shoulders. Amazing quality. Don't waste your money on anything else. Pockets and liner are nice touches.
