After cool and hot weather riding I can say this helmet is a great value. I really dig it. I did have to order thinner check pads to be a bit more comfortable, but I have a round face. It is not a quiet helmet nor does it posses super high air flow qualities. It flows enough to be reasonably comfortable in hot weather, but not enough to freeze you out when it's brisk out. I added a good tinted visor and now I look like Master Chief when I ride :)
The sun visor/roost guard does catch a little wind at higher speeds, but the helmet is pretty light so it's very manageable.
Overall I would recommend the MX9 Adventure to those looking for an ADV helmet at a lower price point but want a quality piece. I put a Cardo unit on and thoroughly enjoy exploring on my WR250R.
I'm sure the helmet will be great. It looks good and fits well.
My issue is with the add for the product. My helmet came with a clear visor. This helmet model was listed and shown in several configurations with varying prices. Every photo of my model has a black visor which most models showed as an additional item for $30-40. When compared to the other helmets I was considering this helmet was the most expensive but the inclusion of a black visor swayed me. Visor is clear now I get to spend another $40 to get what I thought I already bought.
I wear glasses and hate wearing goggles over them and this style helmet works perfect with glasses! I purchased this and the O’Neil but returned the O’Neil because it was to bulky. This Bell is sleek and still has the mx appearance that I like. Fit very well and not to tight against my cheeks like the O’Neil was. No more fussing with goggles just flip the lid down. Fell better protected with this type of shield!
THE IMAGE OF HELMET APPEARS TO BE WITH A DARK VISOR. IT IS NOT. CAME WITH A CLEAR VISOR. HAD TO SPEND $40 MORE FOR ANOTHER DARK SMOKE VISOR, SIMILAR TO DEPICTED IN ADD.
Fits snuggly (as it should); shipped promptly; this is a quality product. Incorporates MIPS technology (hope not to put it to the test). If you're looking for a quality helmet for ATV/motorcycle/other...consider this helmet. BELL has been making quality helmets for...ever!

The little wing nuts that hold the face shield on apparently don’t stay tight. I was packed up and leaving on a two day trip when one popped out rendering the face shield useless. I walked a mile of road in the heat looking for it and couldn’t find it. While I was walking something happened to my helmet because it was tipped over on the gravel and is all scratched up now. Terrible design that ended up ruining my helmet and face shield that was only a few months old.
Several issues: over 40 mph, defeaning. Lower part of the visor does fog up when outside temperature descends under 80F, more or less. The chin strap has -had!- a hoop to pass the extra strap, it broke the second time i unhooked the strap. Two light scratches on low branches have left 2 very visible white marks (???) on the helmet.
All in all, I'd avoid buying this helmet if you haven't yet.
Item is of high quality; bought it (from "Speed Addicts") to protect my noggin whilst riding my Onewheel. My head feels secure and just right (measurement seems to be spot-on). Ventilation feels plentiful while riding under 90+° weather.
I measured out for a medium but went for a large as I thought I might wear a balaclava under it for my atv. It was very snug without it but it’s slowly getting broken in now. Thought this was an all Canadian transaction but got slammed for $45 customs fee even though there’s absolutely no mention of this in the ad. Live and learn!
