Retro-cool and slightly 70s, this helmet gets looks and comments. I used it every day this summer, and loved the look of it – with its cinnamon and caramel stripes, widescreen visibility, and even its brown pseudo-leather lining (though I'm convinced it irritates my skin).

But now that the weather's turning, the honeymoon is over, and all the cheaper engineering is starting to reveal itself. For one thing, it's noisy and tons of wind rattles through (there's definitely a reason other visors are narrower at the cheeks and temples!). You'll want to shut the visor all the way – and then you get the dreaded fog factor. Oh, and rain? Yeah that'll get in there, too. Even if you *don't* pop the visor a hair to keep the fog at bay (which you will, trust me).

High winds hit not long ago and on an exposed bridge so much air was blasting through this helmet, my head was jerking around like a dandelion puff.

Sigh. You're a dashing one, you rogue, with your old-school charm. But what can I say? It was just a summer fling.
// UPDATE
After providing TORC with photographs and proof of purchase, they have stonewalled my attempts at communication. It is now six months and multiple contact attempts later and I have received NO RESPONSE from TORC customer service. They haven't contacted me with good news or bad about my helmet - the company is acting as if they don't exist. I've been taken for over $250 (with accessory visors) by this poorly run and dismissive corporation. I recommend giving your hard earned money to a company that is worthy of it - avoid TORC products at all costs.

// ORIGINAL REVIEW
This is a poorly made, if beautiful, helmet. The aluminum screws to remove the visor strip very easily as the threads they insert into are steel. My helmet is broken, one side of the visor won't come off. The screw simply grinds when turned. This occurred when _removing_ the screw - so I didn't over-torque anything.

I've contacted customer service at Torc. I guess we'll see how that goes. Really hoping they can repair or replace my helmet - it's very comfortable and cool looking. Sizing info - these helmets are small. I ordered one side up and could probably have ordered one two sizes up.
So. Note to self: Sometimes the chart actually works.
Like many people, I'm pretty skeptical of buying things like boots, motorcycle jackets motor.... pretty much ANYTHING motorcycle related, without trying it on. There is NO standard to the standards for sizing. So I went online and read reviews here. I found Youtuber who posted a review recently. (Why these people do video reviews without showing a helmet on their head is beyond me) He gave a decent review but didnt address fitment in the original video. So I contacted him and asked. And he replied and then posted another vid talking about the questions I'd adked.
Anyway, my main concerns were chin space and fitment because size charts are so often unreliable. He said he had the same size head from me (23-23.5) and had a 2XL and it fit perfect. But the chart said I need a Large... which was weird since my BILT is a 2XL as well as my generic Flea Market helmet.
So..i ignored the chart and followed his advice and got the 2XL... which was a bad idea. I got it and it was GINORMOUS. (Maybe because I have really short hair and this guy has a a lot of hair, who knows) But MaxHelmets was a great place to buy from. They asked if I wanted to swap. I did. Ordered the Large. Guys, they had my replacement on the road from Cali to SC before i was even able to print the label for the return.
Bottom line the Large fits perfectly. Its a beautiful noggin bucket with plenty of chin space for my scruffy nerf herder face. I dig it. Get it. You're welcome.

Disclaimer: I just received this, so it’s not a long term review. This is an initial FIRST try.
What’s to LOVE: gloss black with copper pinstripe and brown faux suede has amazing look! Finish on it is amazing. It’s only 3 lbs so it’s very light. Fit is for round-shaped heads - and it slipped gloriously on to my almost spherical globe. Cool factor: obviously you’re looking for the retro style and this is very cool. It will set you apart from Gringo and Bullit, if that’s important to you. I purchased the dark shield (I live in New Mexico) and it will make you look like a Bond villain. If that’s your gig - your gonna LOVE it. Vents: I can feel the effect on my scalp (Lack of vents is what made me avoid the Gringo). It is also ECE R22.05 rated, which similar helmets (eg, the aforementioned lid) do not have. It is full-faced, which is good, since 19% of wrecks injure the face.
What’s to LIKE: padding. I don’t love it but I don’t hate it. Again - very nice looking. I mostly just love 95% of this helmet. Venting ports: little slits that can be closed (nice clicking sliders). They could be a bit bigger to add more venting. (But you may not like that).
What needs IMPROVEMENT: I wish shield had detents or ratchets - even though that will drive up cost and weight. It waits to be seen how durable the faux suede will work - I sweat a lot. Straps could be a bit more thicker - just too flexible. D rings are a cool red - but feels light-weight. $35 for a shield? This is a fail.
This is just a fact: it’s a little noisy. But this is not a modern-styled helmet. It’s not bad - I rather like hearing around me. But if you have a noisy scoot - you may need plugs. Also, I bet it leaks like a sieve in the rain: no gaskets around shield and I cannot imagine the slides in the front vents would keep out much water. But this is a retro helmet - expect retro performance.
All-in-all: I’d still give it two thumbs up!
The comfort fit is a little off...you cannot comfortably wear sunnies with it but the helmet itself is gorgeous. Gets lots of comments and compliments. Great field of view as well

Bought item didn’t fit right ordered one that did fit from this seller and returned the one that didn’t fit. Seller took around 30 dollars just because.
Very Good material well made love this jacket in warm days of summer , i am 180 cm tall and about 80 kilos large fit perfect .
Short in body tight fit and its just mesh with padding. Ok for really hot days but not much protection tbh.
Worth the money.
