The Outrush doesn't produce loud enough sound to be practical or enjoyable for me.
I ride a Kawasaki Concours 1400 ... so it has decent protection as far as a windscreen and bodywork goes. I don't have a super loud pipe. I do ride at a, shall we say, "brisk" pace. I didn't find any adjustment of the windscreen or position on the bike that I could enjoy quality sound. I was trying to use the helmet to stream music from my iPhone.
I never used the intercom or the FM radio, so no comment on those.
The helmet itself is decent for it's price. The quick-release ratchet strap is a nice touch. The tab to adjust the chin vent was loose in the box, so fit and finish were not up to par with a more expensive helmet.
Long story short, the helmet is about what you'd expect for $200, but the 'HD audio Bluetooth comm' leaves much to be desired. If you have a smaller bike, or ride at a cruising pace, it might suit your needs. For myself, I used it one day and returned it. For the record, I REALLY wanted to like this helmet, but it was not to be.
I received my helmet this morning. After a quick charge and pairing to my phone I went for a 3 hour test ride with it. Pairing was very easy. I saw another reviewer mentioned the volume was too low. I didn't have this issue. I listened to music and a podcast and it was always loud enough to hear and I don't think I ever went to full volume even at speeds over 80mph.
The helmet is fairly heavy compared to the Shoei and HJC helmets I have always worn in the past but this is my first helmet with Bluetooth and my first modular helmet so I don't have a great frame of reference.
My big issue was sizing. I have always worn a large helmet in both Shoei and HJC so I bought a large Sena. It is significantly more snug than my other helmets. It felt a tiny bit snug but not bad when I first tried it on but after about two hours I was miserable so I would highly suggest going up a size if you are buying this helmet.
As far as road noise it was about middle of the road. Not super quiet but not terrible either. The ventilation is not great. It was a range of about 75°-90°F during my initial ride and a noticed very little difference with the rents open or closed.
For the price I would have been thrilled with it if it fit. Only deducting one star because it fits a little on small side.
Motorcycle helmet arrived in a good shipping container, delivered promptly. Out of the box easy set up. As I have set up my own bluetooth systems many times this has everything built in. Very easy to learn how to use. Tested the helmet on Sunday July 19, 2020 on a couple hundred mile road trip. Listening to tunes was fantastic, volume control easy and able to skip forward using the helmet controls. I also took a mobile call from a friend who could not believe I was on my bike talking to him while cruising, heard very little distracting noise while on the call. After the call, the tunes came right back on...did not miss a beat. For the price and what you get this is a great price. I might have to buy the white one just to have a spare. Thanks for reviewing, Larry
I don't know what "Thickness" means in Amazon rating system.... Let's say it is appropriately thick.
The helmet is a very narrow intermediate oval. Which means that unless you happen to fit it perfectly, closing the lid means excruciating pain on your temples. Not immediately but after some time of wearing it closed. You can size up but then you no longer have appropriate protection.
Sound volume is very low; once the wind noise starts you cannot hear it anymore. This will vary based on the bike's wind protection.
Sun visor mechanism was very sticky and hard to actuate on the one I had and returned.
Eyeport very wide very nice. Build and material quality is OK.
Good idea and excellent price point that would have given other way more expensive helmets a run for their money but poorly executed.
Color me impressed with what Sena has provided at this price point. The sound quality and max volume of the ear pieces built into this helmet are more than adequate to meet my expectations. I'm not expecting audiophile quality sound on the interstate, even behind the windshield of a 2018 Goldwing. However, for a sub-$200 flip-up to pack completely acceptable BT in an integrated offering like this appeals to me. With the optional foam on the mic, it gets a little tight for room with the lid down for me, even for XL, so I'd advise to size up as others here have. The wife can hear me better on this when I call than she can with the cheap $25 BT add-on ear-mic I put in my old helmet, so that's a win. One last thing, to register for the warranty, which you should since it's a fairly good one, use OUTRUSH as the model number even though the box says SP58 or some such. The registration web page will show auto-complete for OUTRUSH, but not for the alpha numeric model number for some strange reason. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down! Cheers.

Thought it would be nice to have a helmet with fully integrated electronics and the price was right, so I gave it a shot. The electronics are fine. They're not super amazing but it's a $200 helmet, so I wasn't expecting awesome sound quality, but it worked fine and I didn't have any issues with volume or pairing to my phone or to other people's intercoms. The helmet itself though...my god, it's uncomfortable. I have numerous other helmets and made sure to check their size chart to make sure they didn't use some weird sizing or anything, but this is just plain uncomfortable. I use it around town because I'm cheap and don't want to feel like I wasted money, but if I'd been able to wear this on a longer ride before purchase, I would have passed on buying it.
For a medium, it fits snug. As I wear glasses, I have to lift the stems up a bit to make sure the helmet padding doesn’t push them into the sides of my head and cause discomfort. Once that’s done, it’s a nice, comfortable fit. Headset instructions can be downloaded from the Sena website and are easy to use. Only Con I can think of is when the chin guard is opened, the face shield closes into it and remains that way when the chin guard is pulled down. Other than that, it’s a decent helmet for the price.
