2 weeks ago this exact helmet saved my life. 50MPH face first into a telephone pole. Walked away with a concussion and a dislocated shoulder. A simple paper cut in the face of death. Because of this exact helmet I still get to kiss my daughter goodnight every night. Couldn't be more pround to stand behind a product like GDM. They have my buisness for life!
I never write review, but in this instance i felt like I had to. I purchased this helmet for my husband for Christmas and just two days ago he was in a pretty good motorcycle accident that sent his via ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle, two cars in front of him merged aggressively causing he van in front of him to lock up their brakes. In turn, my husband locked up his breaks and couldn't stop in time and hit the back of the vehicle at approximately 30 mph. His body and head slammed off, of the vans back door (the damage to the van in the photo below was from the impact of his body). He was so lucky to have walked away with only a sprained wrist, bruised shoulder and stitches in his leg (and a very soar body). When I arrived at the hospital the paramedic driving the ambulance and the doctor told my husband and I that it would have been a very different situation had he not been wearing his helmet. This helmet brought a husband home to his wife and father home to this kids yesterday.
I really wanted to like this helmet... I put on the tinted visor then went for a ride to try it out. About 10 minutes in, the two tabs holding the left side of the visor popped out and left the visor hanging off one side. That on top of being caught in the rain on the way home, but that’s just bad timing..
there are some phenomenal reviews here, it’s a great looking helmet. The dark tinted visor is exactly what I’m looking for. VERY lightweight, shape on the inside fits my head perfectly.
I don’t know if replacing those two tabs will fix it, but I am hoping the company will be able to help me resolve the issue. I would love to keep this helmet or have a replacement, could be an amazing product.

The Hubbs and I also have a $400 helmet, but we needed an extra for when we rode together. This is comfortable and an EXCELLENT price! Looks almost identical to our super expensive helmet.
I measured up my noggin and went with the size chart which actually matched my other helmets. The helmet looks great. I used shaving cream on the visors to prevent fogging. The visors swap out easily. There are a couple of little accessories that fit up around your chin and nose that tend to loosen up while you are putting the helmet on but they are easy to adjust. About putting the helmet on.
The base of the helmet is tight going on. It literally folds my ears down and I have to poke my fingers up in there to fix em. You will not get this helmet on with earbuds in. After getting on it actually fits comfortably and not at all noisy. I find the airflow is adjustable and the little accessories actually help after you straighten them up from putting the helmet on. You end up with a cool Ninja look and no mushroom head-thing. This is now my go-to.

Awesome, quality, comfortable helmet that's definitely worth the few extra bucks over the bulky bobble head helmets. Purchased at 7:15 AM Friday morning and it arrived the next day, Saturday, sometime before noon. It wasnt expected to arrive until the following Wednesday. It came from Kentucky and I live in upstate NY, no idea how it came so fast as I did not choose expedited shipping.
Arrived exactly how it looks; in a quality box, wrapped in protective styrofoam tucked in a very soft, felt type black bag (which they don't mention) with GDM on it.
I measured my head and reluctantly got the medium size my measurements corresponded to and to my pleasant surprise it fit like a snug dream. Helmets need to be a little snug, not tight and uncomfortable, and this is perfect.
Tinted visor does create the blackout effect, your not able to see in from the outside. Unfortunately, my helmet did come with a scratch on it, about 3/4" long on the left side that goes through the black coating and reviels some silver beneath. That being said, I still give it 5 stars because it's just that sweet. Look at the review by the person who was wearing it when they wrecked their bike into a telephone pole and it saved their life... That post is what sold me. Great helmet.
I had to get this helmet when I was looking for one! It's sleek, comfortable, and looks plain badass! Makes me feel like Tron on the Grid when im riding....cause im a nerd. But seriously, last month an animal ran out of the dark when i was doing 35 mph, the bike went down on it's right side and luckily I was wearing this helmet because my head hit the pavement. Other than a little road rash this helmet did it's job! Great price, great helmet, excellent seller. Thank you.
Pros:
-Love the look of the helmet. Aside from opening the front mouth vent, which doesn't feel like it helps much, but it does look quirky, like a robot with a gaping mouth.
-Affordable!
Cons: might be because I got an unlucky bad helmet out of the bunch?
-The bottom chin mesh liner comes loose a lot - might just take it off.
-the rubber vent/splitter (aka breath guard?) piece in front of the nose keeps coming undone, might just take this off. Even when it's on, visor still fogs up for me. Going to try the Fortnine shampoo trick.
-the strap doesn't stay fastened with the button, comes undone, and eventually wiggles loose during my ride. My only real concern
