It’s a total piece of crap . I tried to reset the three digit number last night I did what they said in the instructions and it’s locked up with the wrong number and I can’t use it I would highly recommend never buy this from anybody
I have a white, open face Bell helmet that I will use for the short ride to work and hang on the end of my handlebar when I park. I figure no one will steal it because it's not very attractive. But you never know, so this lock could be worthwhile.
The lock could be defeated with a screwdriver, I bet. But any lowlife who is that ambitious is probably going steal something better than my helmet, so maybe using this lock will be sufficient.
It does fit easily in a pocket.
It seems to be exactly the same as the one that sells for $10 more, except for the lack of a "protective rubber sleeve," which looks like a simple rubber tube.
If I ever use the thin coiled cable to secure my ratty-looking $400 jacket I'll be sweating it every minute I'm out of sight of my bike.
I think it's marginally better than nothing.
Locking my full face helmet to my bike.
It worked effectively for a year. Now the combination will not open the lock. Trying to figure out a way to get my helmet.
Contacted the seller who was not able assist.
I used an angle grinder remove the lock from the motorcycle.
I locked my helmet as usual and then when I returned I could not unlock it anymore. I checked my code and rechecked (I had my code on my phone, so I verified that I was entering correct code). I tried many times and could not unlock it. Good thing it occurred in a park, so I could ask for help. I had to cut the cable.

- Each lock is provided with the starting combination 0 0 0.
- Ensure the 0 0 0 is facing you and push down button(A) to open the lock.
- Slide forward and hold button (B) at back.
- Set your 3 number combination remembering to HOLD BUTTON (B) in position.
- After you have set your combination,release button(B)

Please set a password that you can remember yourself easily, because if you forget your password, you will not be able to reset it. WHY? Because if you forget the combination and you can reset it, any stranger who doesn't know your combination can get it and set your combination. If so, the helmet lock will lose its meaning. So, we hope every customer can understand this.
This lock does the job. However, when it’s dark and your vision is no longer perfect, it is almost impossible to see the digits. You will find yourself trying to dial in the numbers with one hand while holding your phone’s flashlight in the other and the reflection of the bright chrome flooding out the the numbers. This lock would be perfect if it came with a key.
The best alternative to carrying your motorcycle helmet and jacket around if just stopping for a short period of time. The combination is helpful in avoiding to having to carry around another key.
Secures helmet and jacket; but if the thief really wants the secured item that bad I don't think this lock would stop them.
The black cable looked not to strong so I decided to give it test. It could not be cut with a knife. Otherwise a good product got the price although you may want to go for something more sturdy if you park at risky locations. It is more a deterrent that actual protection.
Bought this item last month but only needed to use it a week ago.
Total piece of crap.
I set a new combination as instructed...easy.
First time I tried to open it with the new combination it wouldn’t open.
Stuck with the useless item now and unable to use it.
Don’t waste your money.
At the price I appreciate this isn't going to deter the hardened criminal but it should deter the casual thief who won't want to be hanging about.
