REALLY like this trunk Will fit 2 full Size helmets, has a lock and a rack On Top, the backrest is nice for the wife contors around her to keep in place... ( WHAT a shame...lol) installation Was easy. although i drive a 04 Yamaha vstar 1100 so i had to drill holes, because it did Not fit my application of the bike. the trunk Sets On an already existing luggage rack on the bike. If your looking to add a light inside or outside of the luggage rack it has room to do so. there are no reflectors on it either. which you can purchase those on ebay they have different colors. i am placing a 12 volt power outlet in mine for cell Phone chargers.

The trunk arrived in perfect condition and on schedule. The finish is very good and the included hardware is of good quality but it would be helpful to at least know what the intended use of each is. For example there is a separate bag of bolts for the top rack. I decided to not install the rack although it is of good quality. A square and wide rack with bars would be the ideal base. My rack was a cnc factory fitting rack made for my bike. I decided to spread the load and increase the number of attachment points by using a 3/8 plywood base. I attached the plywood base first then drilled through the trunk and plywood for a total of 10 attachment points. It made the trunk very stable when leaning against the backrest. I cut the styrofoam packing from the shipping container to fit the thin black foam trunk liner. It made carrying items quieter. The trunk also does not make noise when riding.
I would recommend this trunk if you don’t expect it to be a custom fit. It is well made although I suggest you check the hinge pins to be sure they are pressed in place. I expect good service for my light to medium use.
This is an excellent trunk for the price. The little rubber bumpers along the back inside of the lid where it rests against the Lower Side are critical. You have to superglue those in to make sure that everything sits how it is supposed to sit. I was able to mount mine fairly easily and fairly quickly and I'm very happy with the results. See pictures. I also mounted the top rack, which I really like. I do like the fact that you have to drill holes for it because for those people who don't want the top rack mounted they then have an unblemished lid and it looks much much better.
This trunk is awesome. It's big too. Paint on mine was excellent. The Chrome on the rack was fine as well. I don't know why so many people have problems. It's universal which means installing it is up to you. Do so many people really lack critical thinking skills these days? Those that don't lack have already posted quite a few creative solutions for mounting it on various makes and models. Check out the one they're asking $20 more for. It's the same one (same pics even) and there's a lot of review pics posted also. Mine did not come with a weather strip between the two halves, so yes I am concerned that the lid may rattle or cause a water leak because I am a hard core rider and I get caught in all sorts of weather. Never the less it's easily rectified with some weather stripping. Everything always goes in water tight bags anyways. I learned that lesson over 30 odd years ago.
It took me a while to get around to putting this on, in large part because I knew how difficult it was going to be take the old trunk off.
The directions that came with my trunk left something to be a desired. I've seen worse directions; and even on a few occasions where something that should have had instructions had nothing. My biggest issue was that instructive text there was, was vague; and then poorly contrasted against photos that made it difficult to read the text. On top of it, the rack didn't look anything like the example in the photo, leaving me to figure out how to actually mount the trunk with the hardware provided. There were no instructions at all for mounting luggage rack - I have some guesses, but after finally getting the box itself on and the backrest attached, I decided to add the luggage rack another time, if ever, since I don't personally envision a need for it.
I like that this box has a proper lock, but the cover tends to shift, so when you close it you need to make sure it's squared up just right so the latch of the lock will actually go on properly. Not a huge inconvenience, but still an extra step you have to be cognizant of when using it.

So this is a pretty good trunk. It's a universal so don't expect it to fit your bike or of the box. Yer gonna need to do some finagling.
It helps to have a large luggage rack that is square, not tapered. It also helps to have some fabrication prowess because yer gonna have to modify stuff in order to make it work.
I would love to give this more stars but I didn't receive any keys for the lock (strike one) nor have I received any communication from my emails (strike two).
I will update the durability once I've had a chance to run it through its paces.
The trunk seems to be ok, but there were no instructions that came with the package. The lock is flimsy at best and was not centered. I had a hard time trying to figure out why the trunk seemed crooked while I was trying to center it onto the docking bracket, the center hole of the docking bracket, and the fender and lights. It wasn't until I stepped back and noticed that the lock was not centered, therefore, I ignored using the lock as a centering mark to install it. The pre-drilled holes I am at a loss as to its purpose as it did not align with the docking bracket holes at all...not even close. I had to drill new holes. The vinyl work wasn't even proportional, meaning one side is longer than the other side. The studs to mount the back rest to the trunk were pretty close and only needed minor massaging to get them all to line up.
Nice unit for the price, easily holds both our helmets, great quality rack nice and sturdy, installation sheet leaves a lot to be desired, no direct instructions, would ask them to supply template for hole locations for the rack would be very helpful
Product is good. The only problem was when I put masking tape on to mark the holes for the top rack,
the paint peeled on a spot when removing the masking tape that was on the trunk for less than 15 min.
It is worth the money, but if you want a sturdy trunk , look elsewhere. For the 200can it will work very
well with my Yamaha.
I like the product but found that the padding against the plastic ends when it closes came off. I had to add my own padding or listen to it loudly clatter with bangs every time I hit a bump.
Other that that, for the price it's a pretty good product.
