I just finished restoring a 1993 Suzuki GS500E back from a non-running full disarray of a mess. Went through all the mechanicals and of course cosmetics (paint was BAD!) to bring it to it's current state you see in the pictures. First couple of rides I realized what a difference a windscreen makes like I'm used to on other sport bikes. So, sorta reluctantly, even though I was going for a "naked street" look a windscreen was in order. I didn't want any traditional front cowl or fairings involved so I found this and very glad I did. Install was very simple and it's quite secure. Now instead of taking the brunt of the passing air into my chest the windscreen deflects it up to about shoulder height and across my helmet which obviously is much more aerodynamic than my straight across chest. So as well as being highly functional I think it looks pretty decent on the machine. It also allows my gauges to be better protected as a bonus. Now some technical notes. My headlight bucket is 8" diameter which makes the mount width of the screen about 8-1/2" once brackets and washers were accounted for. Also, I used some black rubber washers (not supplied) that went between the screen polycarbonate and metal on inside and out to avoid cracking it and give it just a little bit more flex to help avoid any breakage.
This is a great looking windshield. Fits my 2007 Honda CB900F perfect. The stock hardware doesn’t provide strong enough hold IMO, so I recommend buying the National Cycle mounting kit for a more secure fit. It’s pricey but worth buying for cleaner more stable install. There is some minor tilt adjustment achieved since mounting holes are slotted on windshield which is nice. I am 6’-5” tall and with this installed the wind when riding 80mph on highway is more pronounced at my helmet. It does deflect some wind off my chest compared to naked bike. If u want total wind blockage this is not the windshield for you but if u want some deflection and a great shade for your gauges plus it looks cool, this is the windshield for you. Good bang for the buck. Fits perfectly around my gauges without making contact. I have about 1/4” of gap between gauge cluster and inside of windshield. By using the mounting kit sold separately this thing remains rigid.
I really like this fairing. It looks AWESOME on my 93 Honda Nighthawk 750. At least in my opinion. It doesnt do much for wind deflection though. I can actually tuck down some, and when I do, I can tell the air is slipping over me. SO it is doing something. Just doesnt do much at normal riding position. I am 6'4 though, so your results my vary. Install was fine, instructions are good. Ide buy this again!
Very satisfied with this purchase. Provides the perfect wind screen i need
I recently purchased this for my Suzuki SV650. It is a significant improvement over the stock mini wind screen. I am 5,8 and this screen takes the wind off my chest and at highway speeds the the wind hits the lower third of my helmet and reduces helmet buffeting. It comes with some hardware which was unnecessary for the SVn. The screen will mount directly onto the stock naked mounting bracket. However If you want the maximum windscreen height and optimal angle you will have to modify the screen by lifting the screen to it's max height on the vertical eyelets which are the headlight housing bolts (The screen fits best between the outer steel plate and the inner mounting bracket) and then drill holes below the horizontal eyelets so that they align with the flange on the stock bracket.

I just received this windshield a couple of days ago. I really like the styling of the shield and it fits my motorcycle very well, a 1995 Honda Nighthawk 750. The installation was a little tricky on my bike though. The slots for the bolts were too narrow for my stock bolts so I had to use the extended bolts that came with the windshield kit. I thought I would be able to just unscrew the nuts inside my headlight housing but that wasn't the case. The nuts seems to be tacked onto the headlight housing so I simply drilled from the outside of the housing through the back of the nuts and the extended bolts then slipped right through and were plenty long enough. If you look at the pictures I added you can see where the extended bolts stick out further on the side of the headlight. My only concern is the amount of flex in the shield, it sure does like to "wave" as you are moving. I do like the amount of airflow I get from it though. I live where it routinely gets +100 degrees in the summer and just commuting to work can really suck. I need some coverage to reduce the push from the wind on a naked bike but want a good flow to get cooled down, this shield provides that. I use a National Cycle PlexiFairing II in the winter to keep the cold air from getting to me. So far I have no qualms recommending this to anyone that wants a bit of coverage for their torso and really think the styling is great. Oh yeah, FYYFF. After taking a couple of longer rides with this shield I realized the "waving" or flexing of the shield is most pronounced at slow speeds. The shield actually stabilizes as you pick up speed and moves very little at speeds over 50MPH. A great shield now.
The shield is great but I don't understand what is up with the piece of junk mounting kit. So they need to put the right kit in the deal and do it right.
Have one on my Honda 919. Fits great and looks great.
