So what a nice looking rear end once installed. But prepare your self the instructions provided by New Rage are simply a joke....
I am very mechanically inclined and enjoy cutting wires... If you are not... well.... I don't think you are going to have a good time installing this.
There are really no tricks to the install, there are a lot of bolts / wires / plastic / cables that have to be moved.
Would I do it again. Yes. How long will it take, at least 1.5 hours, if you have all your tools laid out and are ready to go in a shop.
Few tips. look up left and right in Italian before you cut cables ;-) I had to cut the old fender (one small cut through the inner most section to remove cables (this made it much quicker).
Leave enough slack in your license plate cable in case you elect to move it....
MAKE SURE TO VERIFY YOUR SEAT LATCH IS WORKING BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR SEAT ON. (I did and was fine, but if you screw this up... well.... have fun getting your seat off)
Excellent product! Metal not plastic kit. Thin LED strip under the seat, no risk of breaking off turn signal dismounting the bike.
It is NOT Plug-n-Play, so you need to splice all the connections, I soldered all mine. NRG provides everything, except not enough heat-shrink tubes since you have to splice 10 connections. Instructions very good, although for 796 owners you'll have to disconnect the cable leading to the Electric Valve Motor to get the old fender off or just cut the upper portion of the rear fender.
The install took a bit of work and knowledge of wiring, but other than that it was pretty straight forward. You do have to relocate the lock cylinder, but that isn't a big deal. The turn signal flashes quickly unless you add a resistor for the led conversion. I was okay with the fast flashing though gave it character.
Bought and installed about a year ago and its been awesome. Looks super sleek and has been totally reliable. Allows you to mount your license plate in 3 different spots. Will definitely cut the amount of room for cables and what not down to basically nothing, so make sure all your wires are basically cut to length.
I love how this looks compared to stock. It really streamlines the look of the bike. Two very minor complaints; if the fast flashing turn signal bothers you, you will need to buy a modulator. I don’t mind the faster signal. Relocating the key for the seat release to under the seat could be an issue with mud gumming up the lock. The bigger thing to be aware of is the fender does serve a purpose. When you ride without a fender, water and mud will splash up onto your back. Unfortunately the splash is a trade off with any fender eliminator. On a side note, At the same time I replaced the front sprocket with a 14 tooth sprocket and the performance enhancement is huge. This is a very cheap mod and it’s a must for any Monster owner.

I was told that this kit would fit my 2018 Yamaha Star Venture even though the information had Harly written on it. It works great and was very impressed. It came quickly and can easily be removed and stored if wanted but I liked the looks so much that I haven't taken it off since being installed. Now, if I could only get CIRO to make the same setup for my passanger!
Great product. I put mine on "up side down". I like the cup lower. If you turn your handle bars fully left the bottom of the cup will hit the gas tank lid. The cup holder itself is rubber so it's not an issue. Works so much better then other products I've tried.
I really liked the design. The mounting hardware was missing 2 bolts. The instructions shows three pairs of bolts: 2 metric, two shorter and two longer standard thread. The longer standard thread was NOT included, so I could not mount on my motorcycle. All the hardware is black, so finding something locally could be challenging. I returned it and ordered the "big ass" drink holder from the same company.
