Cant say I love it yet, but so far so good.
This is used on a LS2 Strobe Solid Modular 3xl size.
The chrome color really looks nice with the Wineberry color helmet.
Tint is dark enough for most daily use, but still have visibility in early am/pm hours as well.
On really bright days, I still use the internal sun visor to really knock the light down.
On a lonely dark road in the middle of the night, this chrome shield may be a little to dark to see safely.
Install was simple, just take off the old shield and put the new on one. Remove protective film and you are done.
As expected, the chrome shows fingerprints and bug splats pretty easily, so be aware of that.
I just keep a micro-fiber cloth in my saddle bag to clean it off fingerprnts if needed, but I keep my greasy fingers of the shield now.
It is just bugs that are a problem (but I have a windscreen, so not a huge deal for me).
So far no scratches, but I have only had it a few days.
I do have to say this shield is more fog resistant that the clear shield that came with the helmet.
No idea how long this will last, but I will take it for as long as it does last.
I posted a pic of the tint of the shield, but hard to tell by a pic. It is a slight brownish looking tint when looking through it, not bad at all.
The only real con to this so far is that the pin lock tabs (yea, it has pin-lock!) kind of stick out on a bright day. I guess the internal bump causes light to focus different and makes a bright spot where the tabs are. It is just barely in my peripheral vision and pretty easy to ignore, so not a big deal, but it is there.
Overall I am very pleased with the shield so far.
I love the visor. The color matches my bikes color pretty darn close. It's got a great glare and can bee seen from a mile away. Very noticeable so can be used somewhat as a safety feature. Love it!
Just one thing, don't try to clean these things. I use a microfiber towel on almost anything I clean because they are essentially the perfect for cleaning anything. Used it on this visor and seem to be getting some small circles randomly on it. Don't know what that's all about, and I'm not sure what you should use instead of windex or a cleaning solution.
Gave it 4 stars because I wish it were a little bit more reflective and darker on the inside. Pictures showed more reflective and darker tint. Mildly disappointed. Not a huge deal.
Nice visor with a mirror finish. The blue color looks great on my white helmet. My only complaint is that, due to the mirror finish, finger prints and smeared insect carcasses show very clearly. Minor issue though. All-in-all...I'd purchase again in a heartbeat.
Makes the LS2 Strobe look so much different. Fits just like the original and blocks lots of light. Wish they made a transition shield because this isn't great for night riding. I flipped it up and put on some glasses. Still a good purchase
This visor fits perfectly on my helmet and provides exactly the amount of chrome I was looking for. Not too dark on the shading, still usable at night if you find yourself out after dark with it.
