I bought the helmet to replace my half and full faced helmets. I went on a trip from CA to IN. Helmet was 4 weeks old and the mechanism stopped working and it would not lock into the full face mode. Sent message to company, got no response. Called and left message on (800) number. I determined that the screws on each side had backed out. My guess from the opening and closing. I screwed the screws back in and the mechanism worked again. Not a sufficient design!
Visor broke after about a month of use. I contacted the manufacturer and they refused to honor thier warranty. Cheap. Poorly made. Awful customer service.

The LS2 Helmets Valiant features the most stable "modular to open face" conversion mechanism in the world. As much as 20% smaller than competitive models, the Valiant is lighter, more stable and more aerodynamic. Our lightweight, aerodynamic shell is made from LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) - 2 shell sizes to allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible. A full metal latch assures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and an LS2 exclusive design keeps the chin bar securely in place at the back of the helmet when it is in the open position. The UV and scratch resistant shield is optically correct and uses LS2's Fog Fighter fog resistant treatment for the maximum in fog protection. The Valiant uses our Twin Shield System drop down sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth, and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric, which is "Thermo-Formed." This eliminates the need for a layer of glue between the foam and the liner material, and allows for the ultimate in breathability. Our cheek pads use ultra-high quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2's 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots. First let me say that I am happy I purchase this helmet, now that's out the way. I love how this helmet for my head and when I am cruising 50+ mph it's not ready to fly off my head. I was looking to buy other helmets before I purchase this one, but this was what the doctor ordered. It help minimize wind noise and keep you focus on the road. Then you can roll down the visor to help with sun protection. I added some reflectors to my helmet to get more visibility during the day and at night. This is an A+ helmet, I already sent it to my brother to buy since he is in Mami busy traffic. I will let others know to buy this helmet, and it can help save your life.
I ordered this because I liked the graphic. When it arrived, I was very impressed with the fit and finish. One of the things I like the most about it is the ratcheting chin strap instead of the standard D ring. Adjust the fit on the strap and then it is an easy on with a click and then just a push of the button to release. The integrated slide down sun visor is a nice added feature as well. It's very comfortable too! Make sure you measure your head to get the right size. Once you do, the sizing is spot on.
