My 10lb H305406-R22 arrived with the plastic spool broken in two places. I think it will still work. However, I still have a little wire on my current spool so I'm not ready to test it. My current spool is exactly the same kind and it welds as it should. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the hassle of either returning it now, or waiting until my current spool runs out. Risking this new spool not feeding properly. By then it will be too late to return. I regret buying it on Amazon. I should have gone to tractor supply and paid a dollar or two more. The box it came in is actually pretty thick cardboard, but apparently needs to be padded or some other fix to keep this from happening. Look at the other reviews. This is a very common problem.
The Plastic spool came crushed and broken on a 3 inch section. Had to cut crushed section.. Hopefully works. I should have listened to all the reviews that had broken spool problems. I will never order again.. Lesson learned
What I did not like came with a broken spool and cracked, I know it is good wire. I hope it won't get stuck unrolling Just tired getting these broken spools. I'm not sure if it is the seller or the shipper is the problem, but as I said its good wire if it will work.
Came with the plastic broken, but needed the wire immediately so duct tape helped. The wire was tangled bad through out the line. Its great wire, but having to open the welder to cut and waste tangled wire isnt worth it.
Won't be buying this again.
After returning the first broken spool, this one arrived. I have a Hobart 210 mvp. I have used several other wires, and this is definitely the best. This spool is from China. It is wound perfectly so it feeds smoothly. Nice clean welds and the recommended settings on the machine are now dead-on. I agree with others, they need to improve packaging to avoid breakage during shipping. Otherwise 5 stars

I was warned in prior product reviews that the spools had arrived damaged for other buyers. I opened my package immediately and checked for damage. Sure enough, the edges of the spool were shattered in two locations. I immediately returned the damaged spool and a new one arrived within a few days.
Hobart makes the best wire period. A lot of novices out there trash Hobart, but Hobart has been making electrodes and wire for decades and it's used everywhere typically sold in drums in the industry. The only other wire that comes close is Washington Alloy? But for the home shop a 10-lb spool of Hobart ER70S-6 is perfect especially with a 75/25 gas mix
Very good welding wire at a good price. However, the edges of the plastic reel were broken up but it still worked OK. It looks like the breakage probably occurred in the original manufactures box and not due to poor packing from amazon.
