I had a mishap colliding with another motorcycle from behind at about 15mph. I'm OK after doing a somersault over my Beach Bars (please do not express any condolences. Thankfully I was fully protected with armored safety gear. The other guy is OK too). The collision twisted my Scout's forks, bent the front fender, SMASHED the headlight, and gouged / scratched up my Wave QR Windshield fairing while bending its left mount bracket. My whole point in writing this review is that the Wave Fairing DID NOT BREAK NOR SHATTER. It never did scuff after a daily wipe down of bug splatter in over 2000 miles of use. The Polycarbonate or whatever plastic that National Cycle uses is PRIMO.
It did take the wind off my chest and put it up near my forehead (I'm 5'10") and always wear full-face helmet with visor. Its assembly was not that bad. I will be replacing it. Keep your head on a swivel watching where you are going. Ride safe!
Overall, I like the look and function of this windshield. It blends nicely with the curves of the bike and reduces the wind on the chest area. I still get some helmet buffeting but it is not too bad. The installation process was extremely difficult but can be done with perseverance. I also like that I have the ability to easily remove the shield and swap it out for another National Cycle shield.
Works fine on a 2021 Indian Scout and is very sturdy at speed.
It looks better than the picture. Vastly improved the handling characteristics over the oem windscreen. Absolutely no protection for the face though. Actually seems to have been designed to aim the bugs right at your head.
The shield looks and works great. It is made from thick polycarbonate and feels sturdy. It offers good looks with good function.

Looks and wroks great on my dads scout
It would be five stars if not for the abysmal mounting hardware.
