I got this ingenious idea from reviewer DSP who, like others, thought you might see more to the side if the mirror was rotated 90 degrees. You do! So how to do it? First, remove the elastic band. Then, using a sharp box cutter (an Exacto knife might be better) cut slots perpendicular to those already there (see photo). The back is soft plastic so this is pretty easy - but be careful not to cut the mirror (or yourself). Then re-thread the elastic using an unfolded paperclip to catch and pull the end up through the slot. VOILA! Takes about 15 minutes. Wear it on either hand with the thick part of the black base toward you and the thin part facing away from you - or buy a second one and wear one on each hand. I use my mirror for snowmobiling, wearing it over heavy gloves. Ride on safely!
I mean, I don't really LOVE it, but it's pretty cool. Five stars because it is exactly as described and fits well.
The attached photo shows my daughter and her horse behind me. I got it to use while both bike riding and horse back riding. It allows me to check on the kids without constantly having to turn around. This is also handy when on my horse to see if a quiet hiker or cyclist is catching up. Many people don't realize it's actually good for the horses to hear you and try to approach without too much noise to be polite.
The curved mirror lets you see a decent amount behind you. The view is actually better than in the photo, as I had my arm raised up to take the picture and the phone is also visible.
I use it as a rear view mirror, when I ride on my electric unicycle. Perfect for the task.
The strap is a chain of elastic rubber band and a velcro, you don't have to undo the velcro to put it on or take off.
My only complain, is that I wish there was another pair of slots, to run the strap 90 deg orientation. But that's something one can do with a dremel tool...
For the price I was expecting this to be super low quality, I was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the box though. Optically its clear without any kind of distortion while having a decent field of view. I'm using them with motorcycle gloves that have a hard raised knuckle so the angle of the mirror is perfect to see behind me.
This one was cheaper in price than another one listed on amazon for a few dollars more. They are exactly the same and both made by the same manufacturer, the only difference is one comes in a box while the other comes in a blister pack. So I left the same review on the other item.
All I can say right now is yes, this works, yes it fits a giant hand and wrist, and yes you can see behind you. Some have stated durability issues but I haven't run into this at all. Worked fine, typical plastic construction, elastic play in band, and it worked on hand and wrist.

Description
Factory Effex Moto Grip Donuts - Random. Screen printed design. Sold in pairs.
Seems good for the price. The strap is pretty tight to go over a snowmobile glove.
I removed and resewed the velcro to give more room for adjustment, now works great for a quick glance back while snowmobiling. For the money this is a great tool to have, no more turning around or trying to see in poorly placed rear view mirrors on sleds.
Will probably order more.
If I rest my hand in a specific way I can see behind me through my body and arm, but that is less than ideal. I can move my hand out to get a better view but that is less than desirable when I am on the road and I just want a quick view to see if any cars are behind me. I don't regret that purchase for the price, I still keep it in my bike bag, but I haven't used it since I got proper mirrors.
I use this for snowmobiling. My sled used to have mounted mirrors, so I got used to being able to see behind me. When I got a new sled, one without mirrors, I needed to find a new option. I tried this on the advice of a friend and it works great! I'd say I might even like it better than the mounted mirrors I had before. I can put my arm up while I'm riding, aim it in any direction I wish, and there's a lot less vibration than with a mounted mirror, so I see better. I just leave it attached to the sleeve of my coat so it's always with me.
I don't mind that it is very expensive for what it is. It is a good size fits on the glove very well. BUT the convex surface is too magnified and something very close behind appears tiny and in the distance. A warning sticket is stuck on the mirror surface giving the distance warning. Even worse is the plastic mirror is soft, very soft, if stored with the gloves the surface of the mirror scratches and rubs areas so that reflection is not safe.
Ordered this for my son. Very, very flimsy. Looks and feels like it came out of the pound shop. If I had seen it in a shop, I would have been hard pushed paying a fiver for it. Not happy with it at all.
