This is a light weight cover. It keeps the sun off the seat and the handlebars which is all that I need. Here in Arizona it gets a little warm at times and a black seat and handle grips make for a hot ride. While it doesn't keep the handle grips too cool when it's 110 degrees, it does help. Adding summer riding gloves has really helped (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CK1DPNG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). This cover rolls up easily and fits in the storage bag without fuss, then I just toss it in the front storage but it's small enough to fit anywhere. there are four attached straps but I only use the two larger ones that go over the footpegs after stretching the cover from the tail light (or top box if installed) to the handlebars. It has stayed on in 50 mph wind gusts sitting right where you see it in the first picture, which is pretty open (behind the camera is a parking lot).

Considering that I only paid $27 for this I am ok with calling it a consumable if I can get only a couple of years out of it. The AZ sun kills motorcycle seats and if it saves that then it's worth it.

The motorcycle is a 2015 Honda NC700X with a luggage rack, saddle bags and a top box. (see pictures) It fits tight, especially when the top box is on it so I doubt that it would fit on a larger full dress bike, but this is the medium. so there are two larger sizes.
This is my second Nelson-Rigg cover, and I have to say I'm a little dissappointed in the UV-2000 Half Cover's construction.

The Falcon Defender full cover that I have seems to be made of a thicker material and is double stitched and thermally treated at the seems unlike this UV-2000 half cover. The built in bungie cord is also thicker and more substantial. These features didn't find their way into the UV-2000 which is a bit disappointing.

All in all, the Medium fit my 2017 Yamaha FZ-09 just fine - covering the entirety of the underside of the tail section all the way to the bottom of the headlight assembly which is great.

For the price, this is a decent cover however I expected the same level attention to detail as Nelson Rigg's other covers. Easily could have charged $10 more and made a GREAT cover rather than one that is "good enough."
I've used this cover successfully on my Yamaha FJR1300 which is why I gave it five stars (not fitting my new bike doesn't mean the product is bad).

Due to the configuration of the K 1600 B (long bike with a big butt), the cover just doesn't fit. I tried every fitment permutation I could think of and finally had to conclude it just ain't happenin' this time.

Too bad... Even after my bikes have baked in the California sun, on my FJR 1300, I appreciated that the reflective cover meant that I could mount the bike without roasting my -- butts. I'll have to try something else that'll help reduce the temps.
I'm using this half cover on a 2016 HD Ultra Glide Limited, and it fits like a glove. I have the long whip antennas, and rather than cutting holes in the cover, I pull the cover over the luggage rack, down flush with the antenna bases. I then use a tiny bungee under the luggage bag to hold the back secure. The loops on the side of the cover hook nicely into the side crash bars. The front covers the lights entirely, and is snug.

The cover has been in service for a couple of months, and does a good job of keeping the seat dry. And the seams haven't leaked yet, either. That said, I haven't left it on during a Georgia thunderstorm either, the bike goes on the garage!!!
This is my second purchase of a UV-2000 cover... this one for my large cruiser ('02 1100cc Sabre with windshield, saddlebags, and tour-pack/trunk). The XL fits well with all the luggage and trunk installed. Without the trunk, a Large fits snugly. The Large also fits my 750cc NightHawk touring bike with full-front-fairing, windshield, saddle-bags, tail-bag, and small trunk.

Daily use with this cover, and you can expect to get a couple or three good years use from it. I've been using one on my touring bike for the past two years (3-5 days per week from March to November) to cover/protect my bike in the parking lot of my workplace. This cover sees rain, storms, blistering heat, and the occasional bird dropping, and still looks like it has another good year or two left in it. It has never blown off or ripped, and it keeps my seat dry and cool. Only the worst, blowing-sideways rain gets under the cover!

I wish it came with a compression sack, but I just use the one that came with my Defender cover (since I use that cover only at home). The fanny-pack that comes with this cover is a nice touch and convenient for those that do not have saddle-bags or anywhere to stuff the cover. You can just strap it around your waist (or sissy-bar, or handlebar risers - if you have room) and you're golden! BTW, the cover packs SMALL, and fits easily in the side-pocket of my tail-bag, and would easily fit inside a roll-bag (tool-bag).

If you want a cover to protect your seat and paint, and can be put on the bike without worrying about hot engine/pipes damaging it... this is THE COVER to get! I ordered mine from Motorcycle Superstore, and received it next day, free-shipping, via UPS. You can't beat that level of service (although to be honest, their store is only 200 miles from me).

Specially treated, UV protected nylon blocks out 99 percent plus of sun’s harmful UV rays and protects against all natural elements. All seams are electronically heat sealed to be completely 100 percent waterproof and snug elastic bottom allows for snug fit on all shapes. Packed in its own stuff sack when folded, it’s small enough to fit in almost any storage compartment. 1 year "no hassle" warranty.

Bought this for my 2017 R1200RT and it works amazing. I don't put the straps on my pegs, I find that it makes it way too tight on the windshield. So I use the forward straps on my highway pegs which hardly puts any additional pull. I personally don't think the straps are even needed, it fits very snug and I don't believe it would come off regardless.

Only negative I can say about the cover... The bag that it comes with is the same material that the cover is, this makes it a little hard to "feel" the differences between the cover/bag when you are trying to put it up.
Cautiously optomistic
Great little travel cover! Was searching for a half cover for easy instal and removal. Packs up super small, and would go even smaller with a smaller storage bag. Only negative I had was the back straps couldn’t reach my rear foot pegs which wasn’t a deal breaker as I just clipped them together under the rear seat. And the wider slots for the mirrors are a little too far back, but I do have a small Honda CBR 250R. The mirrors are more stuck out than most sport bikes.
Bought it for protecting my bike against the elements and it has done it done it well so far. It is compact and fits into my Kreiga 10L seat netting worth ease and I am positive it will fit in the little space I had in my MT10SP.. till I added the alarm.

Anyway why the mysterious 4 stars?? Just because they did not take into account not all bikes (if many) will have a centre stand and should have taken that into account when constructing, not a deal breaker but not perfect.

Overall would recommend to anyone who is willing to ride everyday and likes to return to the bike you left behind.
This is a compact, quality cover. It covers over my 2020 Africa Twin AS from front to back easily and the elastic loops come in handy to keep it secure. Just put them around the foot pegs. It fits nicely in carrying bag and I keep it in top case. It would probably fit in a tank bag or maybe under the seat.
