If you can get the sizing right on these helmets, they're pretty neat. I usually wear an XL helmet, but the XL felt pretty loose, whereas the L feels just a pinch tight, so I went with the large. I wear a 7 3/4 hat. I use mainly full face helmets, and when I tried this helmet on with a bubble shield, I felt very vulnerable at first. I felt like I wasn't wearing a helmet at all in terms of having truly unlimited view. It was pretty spectacular. For me, it's not the most comfortable helmet, but style wise, you get what you see. You either love it or hate it. I love the retro astronaut look myself, so it works.
I ordered the flat black, but received the gloss black instead. Not enough of a deterrent for me to send back and wait for the right item. The black still looks good with the face mask I’ve got for it. The helmet is lightweight, and is actually the most comfortable helmet I’ve bought to date. You can adjust the button on the chin strap so that there is no slack after fastening it through the d ring, which is a nice touch. I didn’t give it five stars because it’s not forgiving when installing a Bluetooth headset/communicator. Only the cheek pads, not any other part of the liner, are removable. And tucking the wires takes some maneuvering, which can prevent the pads from sitting flush against the helmet once installed. But if you don’t plan on installing one, this would be a 5 star helmet for the price.
I have found anything that I dislike about this helmet! It fits perfectly and snugs my head without a lot of weight. All that and not even mentioning how great it looks. I have the black Gloss and it's gorgeous. I planned on putting decals on it but I just can't bring myself to do it. It does make me look like I'm from spaceballs but I don't see it as a bad thing! It's a solid helmet don't sleep on this guy it's a solid purchase.
I love this helmet so much. It looks really good - get lots of compliments. It's comfortable and light weight. I bought an XL to accommodate my big head and this helmet doesn't make me look totally ridiculous. Researched for weeks looking for an XL helmet that wouldn't make me look like a bobble head. Glad I found this one. Price is right too!
The product presents very good quality and delivery the delivery was fast. Just the sizes in cm of the table presented does not macth with the reality. Based on that my size would be XL, but I bought an L size and it's the right one.

The bonanza's interior features a custom-shaped EPS safety shell and a removable hand-stitched liner with moisture wicking brushed Lycra panels and open-cell foam padding for breathability and comfort. The rugged nylon neck strap features plated steel d-rings and a snap strap end retainer with Biltwell anvil branding.
Nice fit/finish. I normally wear a Schuberth C3 so an open face helmet is purely a fashion choice for parade type rides on my Dover White 1969 BMW R60/2. I know when I put this on that I’m not getting all the protection of a top shelf helmet. That being said, this one does have its place and it matches the Dover White of 60’s BMWs almost perfectly (a shade darker but not noticable). Fits true to size. Good compromise helmet for vintage owners.
Tried the Bell 500, Bell Bullit, and Biltwell Gringo S - none really worked for me. The Bonanza is fantastic. Fits well, plenty of air flow, and comfortable. Sure, it's not as safe as a full face, but it is better than a half helmet. Very nice lid for the price.
Great looking helmet, beautiful design that makes it a ‘head turner’! most pleased with my purchase though ‘open face’ helmet makes mostly a city ride type of protection. Will definitely not be my last Biltwell acquisition the company makes some of the coolest products.
