The size of this helmet is great...... but for this amount of money there are some issues
1. Bluetooth cuts on and off at random
2. the sound is TERRIBLE Very Very TINNY (makes you NOT want to listen to music)
3. FM tuner is always staticy and sound wose then the streaming music..
The phone quality and noise cancelling is very good and maybe the only good quality this helmet has. so if you just want it for comms it is a good choice. I am considering ripping these speakers out and putting in quality ones.
I emailed sena about the TInny sound and this is what they sent me back.
"Thank you for contacting SENA Customer Support.
Sorry to say but since the speakers are small, those "tinny" like sounds you describe are the expectations.
You can try to adjust the volume level. You can enable certain features like advanced noise control but that's about it."
(ps I ordered from dreamruns who twice sent me a used helmet so I returned it and bought from a real vendor)
I got a medium for my wife and a large for me. The medium didn't fit her and the large didn't fit me. The large fit her well so I returned the medium for an extra large for me. That did the trick. My wife is 5'2" and I'm 5'9" so it's not like we're large people. The sound quality is great under about 40 mph but drops off at higher speeds. You'll need to update the firmware using your computer when you take it out of the box in order to get the SENA utilities app to work on your smart phone. The controls are easy to use barehanded but get a bit onerous when wearing gloves. My supplier had a bit of an issue with the return because of the virus situation but kept me informed and was very helpful in my getting a second extra large helmet for my son.
This helmet fit great, no mushroom head and it was comfortable. The speakers on their own sound terrible. I paired wireless earbuds with an over-ear loop, AND the built-in helmet speakers and the sound was incredible! The problem was the controls on the helmet only controlled the helmet speakers. The controls are fiddly anyway. Too many commands for two buttons and a dial. I was never able to make a call using the controls, it always looked for an intercom setup. Poor sounding speakers and horribly designed controls, not for over $300! Now I just use my earbuds, a Daytona open face helmet and a JBL Click bluetooth remote- perfect set up
I've had many helmets over the years and have modified some of them with speakers but they never seem to fit properly with the speakers even though the helmets were pre fitted for speakers. This helmet is not only comfortable but has great sound. The microphone is hidden in the helmet and I can make phone calls while riding at 50 mph and works perfectly. I didn't expect an open face helmet to work this good. I definitely recommend it.
Helmet is well made, design on the other hand left me disappointed. Brow of helmet was low and my standard sunglasses were forced into the bridge of my nose. The unit has no way to circulate airflow through and heat is a real issue as to comfort.

I really wanted to like this helmet. It’s very light and very low profile. The Sena Bluetooth integration is flawless. Unfortunately the low profile comes at the expense of comfort. There is minimal padding and the helmet hurt my ears. Had to return it.
I love to listen to music while riding, and this does it. Can receive calls if need be, all at your finger tips. Only gripe is that I wish there was a little Bass. Treble is great.....lol!
Love these my husband has a powered parachute and him and my 8 year old use these to communicate in the air they work great! Size does seem alittle small we had to get XL and it fits my husband and my son just fine
