Good: Nice looking helmet, looks great on an adventure bike. Shield, chin bar and sun visor mechanisms all work smoothly.
BAD: I have a rounder type face, and unless you have a skinny and long face like a horse, the cheek pads are way too tight. They squeeze so tightly i basically couldn't close my mouth. Good thing it's a full face because you'll look like a bass while wearing this thing. I bought a 3X, so it already had the thinnest pads they make in it. My solution was to remove about 90% of the padding from the cheek pads, and now it's comfortably tight. It may not be the safest option, but it was the only solution to get this helmet to fit my face properly.
I also own an HJC IS-Max II flip-up helmet which is in this price range, and it does feel more substantial than this Scorpion, like it would hold up better in a crash. I can't back this up with any experience though, thankfully. I also had to modify the cheek pads slightly in my HJC helmet as well, but not as drastically as in the Scorpion.

Description

The EXO-AT950 can be used as a full face ADV helmet with external peak visor attached, or the peak visor can be removed and you have an aerodynamic touring helmet. Our oversized eye port is extremely wide for greater peripheral vision and downward visibility, and the modular chin bar can be conveniently flipped up when you stop to get gas or ask for directions. The internal drop down Speed view sun visor and KwikWick II liner will keep you comfortable all day long even as lighting conditions change throughout the day. Additionally, the no-fog Ever clear face shield can be removed and you can use the EXO- AT950 as a dirt helmet with goggles for off-road use. Three shell sizes made of Advanced LG Polycarbonate and dual density EPS, result in a helmet that is light weight, strong, and protective.

Pro:
1) The AT950 is a reasonably priced helmet with all the features I wanted (ADV style, External sun visor, Flip up chin bar, internal sun visor...).
2) This is my third Scorpion helmet (they tend to fit me well) and I fit a M in all helmets.
3) Visibility is excellent and the visor sheds water well in the rain.
4) It is awesome to flip up the helmet at the gas station, to talk at a stoplight, or when that inevitable sneeze is about to occur.

Con:
1) The left chin strap has a double line of stitching that makes an unbending hard plate at that point. This hits me exactly at the angle of my jaw and after doing a couple long rides the helmet has gone from comfortable to excruciating. This makes the helmet unusable. If they had put the stitching line somewhere else it would have been fine (it is higher on the right and I don't notice it). The stitching can't be cut because that is what attaches the double D rings. Customer service had no solutions at all and they suggested I buy a different helmet.
2) The chin strap is further back and presses against my throat much more than a non modular helmet (all modular helmets are this way).
3) The face shield is quick to fog. Despite having all vents open (which seem to do nothing) I can't get on the bike fast enough before I see moisture causing a blur at the lower edges of the visor when the temp is 50 degrees or less. It is a good thing that the helmet can be cracked open a notch because at anything less than freeway speeds it must be opened in order to see (which is a pain off road).
4) The sun visor does catch a significant amount of wind which jostles my head around at freeway speeds much more than my street helmet. I knew this would be a bit of an issue but I had hoped it would be less noticeable. It is removable.

I removed the Aero Skirt which dramatically increased air flow inside the helmet. Not as nice in the cold but it did dramatically reduce flogging problems.

I considered getting the large replacement cheek pads (the M & L helmets have the same shell sizes) so there would be less strap pressure but the helmet was too loose overall. I ended up heating up a knife and melting a slit through the middle of the cheek foam so I could pass the left strap through the middle of the pad. That made the pressure against my jaw from the stitching go away.

Generally I like the helmet but it could have been better out of the box and require less modification.
Excellent helmet.
