This helmet lives up to it's expectations so far. This is one of the lowest profile helmets I've owned to date. It is replacing a Licks NOVDOT 3/4 helmet and when I put them side by side they look almost identical, see picture. I've only had this helmet for a few weeks but have put it through all of my typical riding situations. Even at highway speed I get no helmet lift and it stays snug in place. This is on a naked bike with no wind screen. The only feature I am not thrilled with it the ratcheting strap. I have never had a helmet with this feature so maybe I just need to get used to it. Also, there is no snap for the extra helmet strap so you need to tuck it somewhere so it doesn't flap in the wind.

Although both of these helmets are a size large, the measurement charts are slightly different and the Licks large is slightly bigger and more round. I would classify the Daytona as an intermediate oval which makes it fit my head a little better. I was in between sizes (M-L) with Licks so the large started fitting looser over time. The Daytona I was spot on at the low end of a size large and the fit is more snug and comfortable. I originally planned to by another Licks at the smaller size since they've changed their helmet slightly since I purchased this one but they are always on backorder and the Daytona was almost half the price. I would almost wager that these helmets are made in the same factory.

If you're looking for a low profile 3/4 helmet I would highly recommend the Daytona.
I really appreciated seeing some pictures when I was making my purchase so here is mine (awkward but) for reference. I don’t feel like I look like Toad from Mario Kart as much and the sizing fits me perfectly. I like it! Best price for great quality!
I'd gone through probably 5 different "low-profile" 3/4 helmets and all of them made me look like the Great Gazoo from the Jetsons. There are plenty of "novelty" helmets out there that aren't DOT approved that riders will wear to get around the various helmet laws but they offer no protection whatsoever and defeats the purpose.

The Dayona Cruiser is a TRUE low profile helmet and solves the problem of legitimate protection and looking like a bobble head. The quick release ratchet style chin strap is perfect for use while wearing gloves. The finish out is nice and the liner is comfrtable. I bought gloss black (pictured after a ride through a rainstorm) and my buddy has the sunburst/root beer color which looks great! highly recommended for those wanting retro style without looking like an orange on a tooth-pick.
Got this for my dad for Father's Day. He's 71 this year. Wanted a slim light weight good looking vintage style helmet. Helmet is sized comparable to the big names so if a large shoei helmet fits you so will this one. Great value. May not have all the hi tech features of a $400 Schuberth but it's Great helmet compared to other you can buy at this price point.

Update: I purchased one of these for myself as well. Had it a year or so. Sept 29 2019 I was leaving my parents place heading home about 3pm. I live in a rural area lots of fields woods and well as I found out deer. At 60 mph I came into a clearing and a deer ran directly into the front wheel of my touring bike. Happened in a split second. I was wearing a xxxl Daytona 3/4 open face helmet leather jacket boots gloves and jeans. Wasn’t anything I could avoid and the deer took the front wheel out from underneath me. Sent me staight onto my back and well my head hit the pavement. I slid rolled and tumbled. Other than a destroyed bike, some mild road rash as scuffed helmet and damaged pride I was fine. I was dazed but nothing broken and most importantly NO head injury. Fortunately I went down on my back. Had I landed face first things could’ve been different with this open face helmet. But it survived a spill from 60mph. If you check the pics I uploaded you will see the damage my helmet saved my head from. I put a lot of miles on this helmet. I will buy another for spring 2020.
Great helmet for the price. Exactly what I was looking for. Low profile 3/4 . No mushroom head here. Got it a few weeks ago and have been using it since. The mornings have been cooler, and this helmet is great as it's warmer than others I've worn. Doesn't pull up a great deal at highway speeds. All in all I couldn't be happier with it for the price

I've only read 1 review that mentions a large head. I measured mine at a whopping 25.2 inches. I was skeptical and hadn't heard of anyone with this helmet but went with the 3xl and that was not a mistake! Fits great! I came from a Bell rogue that cost 3 times as much. And this is an upgrade.

Also read that on the highway that the wind pushes it up. That is not true. No pull of any kind.

2 month update** I have the biltwell bubble shield (chrome) installed and get a lot of compliments with it. Only part that shows wear is the quick release pull tab but its expected. Would recommend to anyone looking for a 3/4 helmet.
The reality is this.....like skinny jeans and spandex yoga pants, some things are just simply not designed to be worn by certain folks.

I have a big XL oval shaped head. 23 5/8” in circumference. I wanted a low profile retro 3/4 helmet. I tried the Biltwell Bonanza, Bell 500 and the Sick Lid’s Retro. All fine well made, quality helmets but each of them made me look like an Apollo astronaut. I had all but given up until I had opted to try the Daytona 3/4 Cruiser. Depending on the make, I typically wear either an XL or a 2XL. I ordered both. I’ve found that most helmets are designed for round shaped heads. If you have an oval shape like mine, you’ll typically have an uncomfortable pressure point from the padding across the forehead. Often the only way to overcome this issue is to go a size up. In my case, XL to 2XL. Surprisingly, the Daytona XL fit very well with little kneading of the forehead pad with my thumbs. The 2XL was too large and shifted when I turned my head left to right. I kept the XL and sent the 2XL back with no problems.

The Daytona Cruiser is well made, true to its low-profile claim and still fits comfortably well. The ratcheting chin strap is a pleasure to use over the common but cumbersome D-ring.

I liked this helmet so much I bought two.
very happy with it
Less of a mushroom head look.
